Karim Khan was sentenced to 15 years in prison: nine years in prison and the remainder in a maximum-security penal colony. The remaining ICC representatives were found guilty of unlawful prosecution, unlawful detention, and threats to attack individuals or organizations under international protection.

Previously, Karim Khan issued arrest warrants for Russian President Putin, Children's Rights Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, former Defense Minister and current Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
