God knows Poles suffered enough - if they want nukes - maybe they should have them.

.Russia can help in this, let us enter Poland and we will deploy nuclear missiles in Poland...))))

A good article here.

A cell awaits them. Perhaps a noose.

Their identities have been compiled by independent lawyers and investigators using open-source intelligence, and all 13 have been confirmed by the Ukrainian security services.

This war is one of the first in which investigators have been able to use CCTV, phone video and social media to prosecute war crimes.

Their work has involved searching homes abandoned by the Russians where, among the piles of empty alcohol bottles, faeces and rotten, half-eaten food, there was invaluable information. Jordash said: "There were manuals, which had been handed out to Russian soldiers explaining their overall war objectives, and soldiers had written their names inside them. There were discarded uniforms showing the soldier's unit."

The more facts that come out here, the more horrifying it is.

And the orcs were stupid enough to leave documentary evidence of what they were doing, as well as all the forensic evidence left behind.

Elsewhere, the debris of war included a carelessly forgotten list of codenames used to refer to senior officers.

In other instances, investigators interviewed witnesses and prisoners of war, accessed CCTV and used facial recognition software. This enabled them to capture images of soldiers' faces and start trawling social media and other public resources to find their identities.

At the end of World War II

You really think Poles are unaware of the reasons why? Poland lost basically half of it's territories in the east (yes it had Belarusians, Ukrainians but also Poles mind you)

Do you think Stalin was gonna give his party colleagues a bad start in ruling over the Polish population? No. He basically gave them political ammonition to declare them more Polish (etnchnic Polish) then any other Polish politician providing with «pradawne Polskie ziemie» from the start of Poland. It fit Stalin and the Soviet Union cause it would create a lasting tension between Poland and Germany (divide and conquer tactics) and forcing Poland to rely on the Soviet Union to have her borders remain.

The border dispute is not really a problem any longer and was settled. Problem is that nowadays Polish politicians are willing to erase that border dispute in hope of gaining a monetary compensation for German warcrimes. Not thinking about the risk of opening a Pandora's box with German rightwingers.

It's shortsighted and leads only to a blind wall.

So far all there is to it, it is largely seen as a political ploy from Stalin. Not as a «gift» the guy was a cynic not a heartfelt human being.
