Well, the last time we revolted

Maf and Milo were trying to be funny - using 'revolting' not as a present participle but as an adjective.

Ha... ha... *rolls eyes*

if Poland can do reasonably well with such half-wits in the government, imagine what we could do with proper leadership. ;)

For chances to get proper leadership you need half century of life under highly patriotic military junta, lead by someone like Pilsudski, or under occupation administration. Otherwise MI-6 will restore their "network" almost immediately and polish elites will again work for London, not for polish citizens.

PS: I meant democratically elected "proper leadership" in the post above.

We can still find some patriotic politicians but another Pilsudski... not very likely.

Those Brits, eh?

Yeah, and then what?

Then something, there is always something.

Putin is main culprit in this matter.

Comrade Velund, do you have any doubts about your leader's brilliance?

Not necessarily military. In my estimation, it would take five to ten years to establish a functioning Polish state, along with an economic and legal framework.
---
another Pilsudski..

Pilsudski is overrated. He was somewhat like PiS; his focus was more on personal power than on laws and organization.

Coming in with a plan and the people ready like Trump did, and declaring a state of emergency and taking the needed decisions by a future konfa-pis-psl coalition might work. If they worked as fast as Trumps team did it would only take 1-2 years

Judging by the intensity with which Russia's enemies are sh&tting bricks, he is doing everything right. ;)

As long as current "masters" has in its reserves some killer compromising material on politicians who are "passable" in elections and there is control over the press, people who give priority to the interests of Poland at the first attempt to disobey the "wishes" of the islanders will be mixed with manure. 5 years will obviously not be enough for the rich collection of materials to become expired, unless of course a very tough (in the style of Stalin's 1938) purge is carried out among politicians who are too responsive to wishes from outside.
