For some weird reason, Putin may be regarding Ukraine as part of the USSR ... where the USSR invested a ton of money...just as the US invested a ton in Hawaii and Alaska.

Duh.

Then some azzhole gave Crimea to Ukraine when U and the USSR were one. Now, Putin wants it back before the US or NATO flag proudly flies over the Sevastopol base.
