Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 20

Russian Iskander hit a group of French soldiers in Krivoy Rog.

The photo you posted shows a hotel full of civillians that was attacked by RuSSian rockets. There were some volunteers from humanitarian organisations staying there - from Ukraine, the UK and the US. One of the volunteers who survived the attack is a Pole living in the UK who was there as a member of the Ukraine Relief organisation. His name is Karol Świacki. They were there to help rebuild Ukrainian schools. There were no "French soldiers" there.

Four people died in that attack, 32 were wounded. Four teenagers are in critical condition.

Besides the hotel also 14 residential buildings, 12 shops and a post office were damaged.

Kryvyi Rih (Krivoy Rog) is Zelensky's home town and that's why RuSSians have been attacking it often since the beginning of the war. Bastards.

I remember the days when you would oppose talking about dying soldiers in such way.

That was before the war reached the stupid point and the outcome was still in the air.

As in boxing, this war reached the point where it's just a slaughter and the winner is Russia.

Memo to morons: Why the fvck do you, azholes, think the US wants to end it?

Here is why, so pay attention, morons...The US wants to end spending money on your favorite war because Russia is WINNING.

If Russia was losing, the US would sell Alaska to continue funding it. Duh!

I remember the days when you would oppose talking about dying soldiers in such way.

I used mincemeat to illustrate the carnage that happens along these evacuation routes.

There were some epic ones even during the first hot phase in 2014. Debaltseve the biggest.

From the Wiki page:

Soldiers were told to prepare to leave in ten minutes with no prior notice, and then to load into the prepared lorries. They abandoned their heavy weaponry, and destroyed their ammunition so as to prevent it from falling into separatist hands. After loading, the column of about 2,000 men, including tanks and other armoured vehicles, began to proceed away from the city. Headlamps were kept off to avoid attracting the separatist attention. In spite of these preparations, the convoy was swiftly attacked by the separatist forces. Vehicles broke down and crashed, with fire raining down on the convoy from all sides. One soldier said that the separatists were "shooting with tanks, rocket-propelled grenades and sniper rifles", and that the column had been "disintegrated". Many soldiers were forced to abandon their vehicles and proceed on foot. Dead and wounded soldiers were left behind, as it was impossible to evacuate them.

Why spend the lives of hundreds of Russian soldiers sealing off a cauldron, and fighting it out with the trapped Ukrainians - when you can lose zero Russian soldiers, and still destroy large quantities of enemy personnel?

If Ukraine loses their sliver of land in Kursk, and it seems its only a matter of time, then what does that mean?

It means there can be no "swaps" of land in any peace agreement. Sources within the Zelensky administration had argued that they (the Ukrainians) could force Putin to trade Ukrainian land back for Russian land at a ratio of 10:1 or more. Supposedly since it would have been so embarrassing for Putin to leave any piece of Russia under Ukrainian control.

I never believed that Putin would entertain such a stupid idea as trading Ukrainian land for Russian land at a ratio of 10:1 or whatever fantasy the Ukrainians had in mind, but in any case it doesn't matter anymore.

....maybe at some point later he will be glad to have something to trade still....

....After more than 12 hours of talks on Thursday, the 27 leaders signed off on a scheme that would ease budget restrictions for defense spending, funnel some of the EU's unused funds toward security priorities and provide 150 billion euros ($162 billion) in loans for military purchases.

As a priority, the funds would be spent on air and missile defense, artillery systems, ammunition, drones and air transport, as well as cyber systems, artificial intelligence and electronic warfare.....

India will become as important as China

Not gonna happen. It might become more important than it is now but it's long term potential is held back by lots of India-specific realities.

⚠️ Codex Pajeet II: India the worst country on Earth

Must watch

Compulsory viewing, this critically acclaimed documentary presented by the AI voice of Sir David Attenborough proves without a doubt that India is the worst country on Earth today. It is the worst country in all of human history. Both shocking and hilarious, this documentary is a must see.

Russian terms are such ridiculous sh*it that Ukraine can't accept, and if accepted, the demilitarization in RU terms would cause the sudden end of 40% of UA GDP and a shockwave in all sectors of the Ukrainian economy creating something exponentially worse than Weimar Germany. Plus, the police state that Ukraine would need to become to enforce the Soviet cultism laws, which KGB Dwarfs want. Millions would die by their own state and easily preventable diseases. This is obviously assuming that the EU closes its doors.

If the EU maintains doors open, it will not be as bad. It will be just the largest refugee crisis in human history.

Second, Ukraine has a path to victory. Russia is just a gas station. Destroy its refineries, and it can't maintain such an expensive war economy.

It is interesting how Euros received the boot at all levels.

Switzerland also got dropped as a potential meeting place.

All in all, a big debacle of the EU.

This just came across American news.

The Polish prime minister announced today that his government is preparing to require every adult male to undergo "large-scale military training" to more than double the size of the army in the event of a war with Russia.
Tusk added that Poland would also drastically expand its arsenal, saying the country "must pursue the most advanced capabilities, including nuclear and modern unconventional weapons."
We will miss you Specialist cms & Private Pawian and Corporal jon & Staff Sergeant Lazarus..
Talk about poetic justice. Hoot !

One of the volunteers who survived the attack is a Pole living in the UK who was there as a member of the Ukraine Relief organisation.

You can watch his video showing the damaged hotel from the outside on the Instagram profile of Ukraine Relief. They were in the hotel's restaurant when the attack happened. He said: "It was absolutely miracle. I think God saved us."

And what did they do after that attack? They went to a school in Kryvyi Rih to make the kids "a little bit happier" (there's a video on the Ukraine Relief profile)... 🥺❤️

Their vans were standing next to the hotel and they got destroyed (there's a video on their profile). They were able to retrieve the aid from the cars, but now they need new vans :/

Great idea before elections...

You mean it's a bad idea? I don't know - there's a poll about it on wp.pl and majority of those who voted support this - 64% are in favour and 36% are against it (over 37000 people took part in the poll so far).

Actually on the profile of Ukraine Relief there are also two videos they filmed right after the attack as they were getting out of the restaurant... There were children at the restaurant too as you can see in the video... "French soldiers" my ass :(((

There's also a video of them getting back to the damaged hotel to get their bags back from their rooms.

Absolutely crazy.

Imagine - you're sitting at a restaurant with your kids and a rocket falls on your head. And without American intelligence people living in Ukraine won't get warnings now about those attacks from what I've read :(((

Imagine - you're sitting at a restaurant with your kids and a rocket falls on your head.

Imagine the UA getting the fvck out of Russia...no rockets...no meat grinders...no coffins...

If I recall correctly, either the Donbass referendum never happened or the Russian FSB was executing those who voted NO on the spot. I don't remember which...that dementia...

BTW, I noticed radio silence from the "freedom and democracy" war mongering Russia haters...

Nobody is saying that Ukraine is winning. WTF!

I have got no problem with it - presume its just a week in some forest with some bad food. There isn't much money for anything more involved and I am sure a huge shortage of instructors

Don't know about the nukes - at first I was joking but unfortunately Golden Cow has made it serious within the space of a month and I am sure the same debate will be in South Korea, Venezuela etc. Nuclear proliferation is back and it's basically Vance's fault

@Paulina
As an update on the Ukraine demonstrators in Krakow, last night they were back in a smaller number. This time protected by about a dozen police officers with three vans of backup officers parked on the street. While I didnt witness any Poles saying anything, I did ask the bartender I know well and he said it was out of control the night before and that old women and others were telling the Ukraine demonstrators to go home and did throw some things at them.

@Ironside
The majority of people on PF who either dont live in the US, or have not lived in the US the majority of their lives do not know how most Americans think. I dont preseume to understand how Poles think either. There are tremendous differences in values, expressions, and other items that make my understanding Poles as well as another Pole almost impossible. The same goes for Poles understanding Americans. I think it all starts with language and speech. Americans are very direct, Poles are more polite and take more time to ensure that speech is more formal. My direct communication style does not go well with Poles, and honestly I dont care, and thats going to be something most Americans will be comfortable with. Poles on the other hand from an American point of view, slow communication down with too much political correctness or politeness. The United States is not the land of political correct speech, and it is not a place where endless meetings are held, and endless documents must be presented and stamped and stored. Americans want decisions, good or bad, but decisions, and directness. Americans feel no obligation to anyone other than their families. This can be seen in how they handle Canada and Mexico. Europe has benefited from Americans lack of unique identity because the United States is a land of immigrants. As my screen name represents, Americans look for something to connect them to the "old country" and neighborhoods in many communities are still formed in this way. Europeans couldnt understand this because their identities are firmly rooted in thousands of years of history. Thats the basic point of view, though I could go on for a long time.

Meanwhile, Trump now talking about essentially shuting Russia out of all banking if they do not come to the table with serious proposals next week. He says he has information as to why Russia needs to end the war. What it is, no one knows.

shuting Russia out of all banking

And make USD and US banking system even more "toxic" for the rest of the world?

if they do not come to the table with serious proposals next week.

There was a lot of serious proposals in the past, that was ignored, and finally lead to current situation. Re-read Putin's speech at the 43rd Munich Security Conference in 2007 for example. And now, SUDDENLY someone wish to hear something even more ground-breaking than "Oreshnik".

BTW: Yesterday, Russian troops knocked Ukrainian troops out of several strongholds in the Kursk region. They found a fresh mass grave, 15 local civilians, all shot in the back of the head.

We almost don't care anymore that Polish cuckolds, at the insistence of their British masters, are ready to write off the Volyn massacre to the Banderites. But we have a good memory, and it is our own, without remote control.

Bad news for Kiev

The European Union failed to reach a deal for Ukraine because the "emergency meeting" ended WITHOUT funding or rearmament.

European Union leaders concluded an extraordinary summit without reaching a consensus on additional funding or support for the rearmament of Ukraine. The discussions included proposals to increase defense spending and the potential seizure of $227 billion in frozen Russian central bank reserves to finance the reconstruction of Ukraine.
However, these measures faced opposition from some member states, leading to a lack of agreement.
