Tomaszewski is defending nothing but hs own political position. Like most right-wing politicians of Polish nationality, he's a smart guy that's figured out how to use and exploit the poor stupid people.
It's not exactly a big secret that the older Lithuanian Poles tend to be poorly educated - hence why his message and claims are believed.
Who are you to judge? And why would you think that Poles in LT cannot cooperate with Russians in LT? Sadly, you still cannot bring yourself to condemn an outright act of desecration not to mention threats against polish minority, and you are looking for lame excuses not to do so.
