Serbia? Why to Serbia?

The place is a dump. So everybody is dumping on Serbia their emotional traumas.

Poland to join?

What is in it for Poland? It is not as if such an alliance could seriously help defend Poland in case of a major conflict.

Pure genius, Iron...

That's exactly how many Americans and I feel about NATO and the likelihood that Poland and the Baltics can help defend the US in case of a major conflict.

We call a lopsided alliance. I call it parasitic bullshlt we should get out of ASAP. Hence, Trump, the saviour and liberator.

hat's exactly how many Americans and I feel about NATO and the likelihood that Poland and the Baltics can help defend the US in case of a major conflict.

We don't need hypothetical scenarios starring us in the face a real, undeniable parasitic relation, USA versus Europe. Assuring sea lines are open and barbaric Huties are under control; the American military might ensure that European merchant ships can sail through the Red Sea and Suez Canal, saving enormous amounts of money and time for Europe, not so much for the USA. Because only 3% of American commerce runs through the Red Sea versus Europes 40%.So US providers
The soldiers, finances, and the European contribution are Denmark denying the sale, not the gift, of the stupid eggs. And all of the idiots on PF are celebrating the victory.
Stupid, stupid European parasites.

It must be very difficult for Europeans to listen to American lectures about the Suez Canal.

After all, it was the Americans ganging up with the Soviets to kick the Brits and French out of there during the Suez Crisis.

First America takes the Suez Canal away from you, and then later it reads you lectures about being a parasite.

Quoting from Google:

The Suez Canal Company, a joint-stock company, owned and operated the canal from its construction in 1869 until 1956
In 1875, Britain purchased Egypt's share in the company, becoming the largest shareholder
In 1956, Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser nationalized the Suez Canal Company
The UN granted Egypt sovereignty of the canal, and it was reopened to shipping in April 1957

When exactly did the US own the Suez Canal? If anything, we tend to give canals away because once in a while we elects morons to be presidents.

Stupid, stupid European parasites.

Hey, Ptak, I am glad you are active and a voice of reason here.

The US is badly underrepresented in this nuthouse so your presence is highly appreciated.

In such case, those Americans are ..pardon my French - stupid American peasant because even American rednecks know that NATO is a part of parcel American play at world domination.
The issue now is not that NATO is bad but that the DC wants now introduce a new rule because the old one is no longer feasible. Simple!
Comparing ~Poland and the US circumstances is like comparing apples and oranges. Poland needs real partners that are capable, willing, and threatened by the same foe.
The US needs willing sidekicks from all over the globe. Got it?

When exactly did the US own the Suez Canal?

Never. The British owned it.

Nassar nationalized it.

Britain, Israel and France started a war over this.

America and the USSR - unusually - got together and told them that unless they leave it alone, we would get involved on the Egyptian side.

Faced with this ultimatum, France and Britain slinked away like a little garden lizard.

I'm just saying it's funny to charge them for the safety of the Suez, after forcibly taking it away from them.

Yeah, so what that got to do with Yemen , Stone Age barbarians, threatening sea lines, and the burden for the Americans to keep navigating open and free.

Yeah, entirely if your recipe for success is for the US never to change the rules just bend over, don't complain, and take in the ar*se with smile,
and never ask for a few dozen eggs; just let your country go bankrupt

I think that what you serve in its restaurant is only a starter. Any other dish on the menu is either uneatable, expired of not available.

@Crow

Besides both modern Hungary and Serbia being very small in comparison to their historic size - what exactly unites Hungary and Serbia?

Is it just the shared feeling of betrayal and humiliation?

Hungarians and Serbs are two very different people in my mind.

You may be surprised but first thing that connects Hungarian and Serbian state is Vatican-Germanic joint venture in the region, as part of wider Drang Nach Osten. Interestingly, even in deeper past, when first embryo of Hungarian statehood was formed in the region on the Slavic ground in Panonian basin, it come to existence as the alliance with Slavs against Roman conquests, so again resistance to the Drang Nach Osten.

Since the middle age, Vatican favored Germanic factor, while when dealing with Hungarians and Serbians knew only for the dictate. As a result Hungarians were eternal younger partner in every Germanic led conglomerate, while Serbians were object of the hunt. Ultimately, idea was that all of us in South-Eastern Europe are Germanized.

that connects Hungarian and Serbian state

That both of them are odd eggs in the Balkans. I don't see anything else that connects them. The main gain for both of them from that relation is the relation in itself. The fact it exists and they are not isolated.

Again... his great dream is for Poland and russia to team up and go to Serbia and commit genocide against Albanians....

He even admitted it once (not using the word 'genocide'....)

Behind the quirky unintentional humor is a heart full of hatred and evil.
