I would refuse to date American boys

I'm happy that you openly admit to the homosexuality, unlike others.

Would you rather be with an english guy and deal with all the stereotypes and stigma?

And just what have you got against English guys? Are you prejudiced?

Cuz they SURE DO know where Poland is and where poles come from.

That comes from learning geography in School. Given the choice wouldn't a normal girl prefer an educated man?

Haha I don't see how I admitted to being homosexual, even if I was would that be a problem? I dont see your point.. What do you mean by "unlike others"?

Nope, I got nothing against English guys. I'm sorry, it came out wrong. What I meant was that the author of the post was complaining how Americans are unfamiliar with polish culture...Well there are lots of stereotypes about us in England! The bad ones as well.. so shouldn't she take an advantage of the bf's family thinking our culture is something new and exotic? I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting to know some of our customs and traditions.

I was being sarcastic cuz there's so many of us there. lol

I think these are not cultural differences, just his type of personality.

Definitely personality and not cultural...

Wasn't the OP just asking for a little advice, and not a cultural war of the sexes? I'm an American of Polish/Irish heritage. Geography? Look, if that guy doesn't know how to read a map, just explain why he's an idiot and move on. If common sense or intelligence isn't high on your dating scale, then you're probably not in the relationship for the right reasons anyway. Say about me what you will, but you know I'm right.

Cultural differences? I'm from the state of Ohio. We have cultural differences with West Virginia, and they're right across the river. That's just a small example. Cultural differences exist in our society in every facet of our lives. Its all in how we deal with those differences. If they can't be overcome, there is no relationship.

It sounds to me like your only reason for being together is a physical attraction. Problem is, that looks will fade in time. Then what? Divorce? Starting over? Too late.

When people used to ask me where I was from, I used to mention, as a matter of routine, that Poland is a country between Russia (I know, I know.. no reason to make it more complicated) and Germany. Especially when I was talking to kids high school age or thereabout. I think the only ones that didn't appreciate that helpful little hint were kids of recent immigrants. Or WWII buffs
