Not only does our country excel economically, not only is our army strengthened and gold reserves enlarged (see other threads on this board), but we are also European leader in allowing our citizens to be conceived. :)

Yes, they have this peculiar way of presenting results, in a way that the worst countries are shown in green on top of the list (the countries that provide their citizens with the widest variety of means to prevent children from being conceived). This can be rather misleading.

Quite. Not exactly an achievement. People here are used to getting round silly situations though, and also very adverse ones. The primitive attitude to family planning touted by some in PL has actually very little effect.

Forcing people to have kids when they actually don't want them is not a very wise solution to the problem either in Poland or anywhere else. In the PRL days elder ladies working as selling assistants in kiosks were making tiny holes in condoms with the help of a needle in order to fight contraception. Would you kindly explain what methods does the present government apply to prevent contraception?


You like to listen to PiS propaganda, don't you? You'd better read some of the pre-war newspapers of 1939 where the journalists inspired by the then Polish governmemt were repeating ad nauseam "Nie oddamy ani guzika" or trumphantly announcing that in case of war the arrival of the Polish army in Berlin would just be a matter of days rather than weeks.

I don't know, man - either you don't read this forum at all or you have very short memory, but Torq is very critical of PiS - and has a new found love for the fake Kosiniak

He may nevertheless believe what PiS has to say on the strength of Polish military.
