Still hoping that Atch will stop by to contribute to her Christmas thread, but in her absence, here is a link to the winners of the annual szopki competition which took place in Krakow on December 7th.

I'm sure that most of you here will know what this is but for those who don't, szopki are miniature nativity scenes of historical places in Kraków such as Wawel castle. More information here:

That said, it's not exactly Christmassy weather here right now. No snow. Temperature a few degrees above zero. Grey skies. Not seen the sun for what feels like weeks. More like a beach holiday in the UK than a Polish Christmas.

I must say I'm running out of festive steam. I've given up on the Polish Forums Nativity play at this stage although I might consider an avant garde production for next year, introducing Lucifer into the proceedings, and who else to cast in the part but our old friend Novi - if he hasn't shuffled off the mortal coil by then, God bless him. In fairness, he's not actually evil though, just annoying :)

I will try to pop back here with some Christmassy joy over the next few days. In the meantime, lots of love to everyone, especially to Novi. He needs it most. ❤️
