maybe that rat is a manifestation of a deeper issue..

Are you trying to imply some Freudian theories are involved here???
Hmm, the rat is real, I didn`t imagine it.

How would you interpret its existence in my life??? ):):)

BTW, it is gone for good. Only mice have remained. And I still don`t know what grabbed those cobs.

BTW, it is gone for good.

Maybe, but it's only been a few days. I would leave the camera rig up for a bit longer to see what other visitors you get.

It is on there all the time and I check the records every 2-3 days. The rat is missing. The cat, too. The cob disappears in the fog. Mice frolic at will.
Christie mystery, sort of. I don`t know what to think about it. :):):)

It's a mystery!!

What type of camera do you have rigged up?

What type of camera

It is a Chinese made camera for average budget because I am mean aka frugal and refuse to pay through my nose for gadgets which I don`t really need. :):):):):):)
But I am perfectly satisfied with the quality of the photos and videos it takes. It was a good decision to choose that one - I had read dozens of comments by the buyers of various trap cameras.

Thanks.

I wouldn't mind rigging one up to see what creatures are visiting my garden.

to see what creatures are visiting my garden.

I can assure you this gadget offers a lot of fun.

Eventually, I have established a few facts:
1/ the rat is gone for good.
2/ so is the hamster.
3/ the cobs I had left in the spot were abducted by the rat. I found their remains among the clutter in the barn. It is impossible the hamster took them there.

I wanted to save the hamster but fed the rat instead which is lost anyway. This is called squint-eyed luck in Polish.

It`s the interior of a certain facility which I regularly use on our farm. I have made two improvements to it. What are they and why?

This looks like some kind of cell whose walls you just reinforced, do you want to keep captured Right-wing radicals in there?

whose walls you just reinforced,

Yes, that`s the improvement No 1.

do you want to keep captured Right-wing radicals in there?

No, I keep sth else there.
Hint - judging by the colour of the walls around new plastering, what facility is it???
Hint No 2 - if I kept rightists there, they would perish within an hour of the process I practise there. Namely what????

- judging by the colour

Is this the color of blood?
OP pawian  226 | 27817

No, it is dark grey or even greyish black originally.

blood?

So, it isn`t a mini slaughterhouse No 5. What process tints the walls black or dark grey almost instantly???

Storing coal there for the winter?
OP pawian  226 | 27817

We don`t use coal.....
Besides, coal doesn`t blacken the walls instantly, it takes a little time. This construction inside is 1m x 1m wide.

A new or improved smokehouse?

Exactly!!! I plastered the cavities in the walls caused by high temps and made a new hearth.

I had enough of weeding the front yard so I cleaned it thoroghly, planted new bushes and flowers and covered the whole area with agrofabric. Now I am thinking what to cover the agrofabric with. Bark shreds are an option.

We are slowly running out of our own potato supply. We started consuming them last June and I presume the supply will have given out by the end of February. This makes 9 months. Not bad.

Some smallest ones I am going to plant in spring.

The first harvest already in the outdoor basement. There were two more.

Ask Lukashenko for a new supply. He pays you in potatoes, (can't afford bananas), he should come to your rescue since you are his kindred spirit.

Ask Lukashenko for a new supply.

Why?? I can obtain them during weekly shopping. :):):)

pays you

He or you can`t buy me. Forget it.

more practical

That`s my style. I never cease to wonder why people waste so much time doing such silly boring activities as jogging or working out in the gym. Instead, they should do sth more practical. Today I toiled in the fields for a few hours, improving my health as well as my family`s by growing decent food for them.
