I have more than that many times over...

That`s wonderful. If you have a much bigger property than me certainly a lot of interesting things must happen there. Can you share a few stories??? :):):)

I will share one now: I just discovered you can drink nectar from that African plant called trytoma in Polish. Just squeeze the flowers and gather the liquid. Easy! And sweet. :):)

I spotted a few nuts on our walnut trees

No, it wasn`t a mirage, it is for real. :):)

We just "planted" these 4 trunks today. What for?

. What for?

I inoculated these logs with mushroom spawn in February. Then kept them in the water-filled bathtub in a vacated flat. Now they need to be planted in the soil to remain moist and interact with soil organisms.

What mushrooms? 4 kinds, including lemon oyster mushroom.

Lately I have been missing the mushroom picking season, hope I catch it this year in August/September and my friends who have knowledge of them,I remember picking them pretty looking red and white ones and they made me dump them with all the good ones.

:):):) Nice joke about "poisonous" muchomór (fly-killer) mushrooms. But, do you know they can`t kill you? Your friends were too hasty with dumping them. :):):) They cause psychodelic hallucination and for that effect were used in ancient rituals.

Ptak, do you remember that dead tree we were talking about last year? My faith and good hope weren`t enough and it didn`t recuparate. I eventually dug it up and am going to replant a similar one from another part of the garden in its place.

This season was memorable because of two invasions: First, mosquitoes - they are so nasty that they bite even in broad daylight which has never occured to me before - I was really surprised.

Second - Colorado beetles. My next-field neighbour decided to crop his potatoes, causing an onslaught of bugs onto my field and also the house. I could slowly walk around the house, picking bugs from the walls. When I finished the front wall, I went to clean the back one and then had to return to the front because new ones had appeared and so on. Amazing.

I feel I need to get it off my chest at last. Yes, I am a serial killer. I know I am bad but I have to be so.

Oh God, sounds like something out of a nightmare... I would freak out. 👀

Yes, I am a serial killer.

So what are you killing exactly? lol

Adult Colorado beetles - by dozens. Some of them while copulating. Today I saw 3 engaged in a sexual intercourse. Even took a photo. Then they died. :(:(:(

Their eggs and larvae - by hundreds.
And aphids - by thousands or even millions since the start of spring.

If reincarnation exists, I won`t get to a higher level of existence for all the death I bring about in my current life. :(:(:(

My car windscreen is a biggest insect killer ever.

Johhny, you asked me about strawberries. Unfortunately, there are none this year in our field coz some malicious animal (s), I don`t know yet which, has/have nibbled at the bushes depriving them of most leaves.

My fault- next year I must fence the strawberry patch. I only did it to kohlrabi and collard patches this year.

My car windscreen

Hmm. Try to drive a car which has an insect friendly windscreen.

Some of them while copulating.

Reminds me of an old cartoon by famous Mleczko from 1970s:

I beg you! Wait a moment!:

I have just discovered a hedgehog in our garden! Amasing! The first time. It is huge. I gave it the carcass of the mole that cats had caught today.

Now I need to be careful with mowing.

. I gave it the carcass of the mole

I doubt that a hedgehog would eat a mole.
They are omnivorous and will eat slugs, snails and insects.
But tell me if he ate the mole.
I doubt it somehow.

I doubt that a hedgehog would eat a mole.

I had read that they also eat carrion. That is why this year I noticed so many hedgehogs killed on the road coz they were preying on road kills.

But tell me if he ate the mole.

No, it left the mole where it was. Probably the mole was too fresh, it needs to rot a little to become true carrion. I left it there for the spiky for a later meal.

It is 6 pm and I finished all field works for today. I have done a lot and feel so proud of myself. :):):)

It is so good I cheaply bought 120 kg of sugar before vacation. Now we don`t need to worry, making wine and jar preserves. We have already used up 30 kg. Amasing!

can kill.

Yes, when it falls on your head. But when supplied in smaller doses, it invigorates.

I will buy better a cubic meter of wood for the fireplace for next winter.♨️

a cubic meter of wood

I just read the prices also went up. You`d better follow the PiS advice about picking dry wood in the forest.

120 kg of sugar

Of course, I didn`t buy it all at one time. I bought it on regular basis, 10 kg per week every time we went shopping for the weekend. It took me a dozen weeks since April. So, it isn`t my fault that there are purchase limits on sugar now.

In the evenings I have more time so I can play Little Prince and watch sunsets. I sit in my fave chair, put my feet up and enjoy amasing views.

Here is the sky photographed from four directions within 1 minute.

Have you seen

Yes, I have finally seen the perpetrator which contributed to the losses in the veg crop! I was wondering if it was a hare or roe deer which nibbled at our chickory and beetroots. And one day I saw her! We were looking at each other for one minute - amasing! But I moved a little and she escaped.
