Immigrants in Poland

I know that there are threads about immigration to Poland, but they're more specific - I think the forum lacks one general thread about this topic.

I'm really happy that this guy got a political asylum in Poland - this is Viacheslav from RuSSia (I posted two videos of his before on this forum) - the letter with the decision moved him to tears :))) (he got over 3000 comments on that video):

One of the comments:

"Our country did the decent thing. ❤️❤️❤️Congratulations"

How many is Poland ready to accept?

Five that I know of, Poland accepted jon, Lazarus, Pawian, cms, and PolAm.
They prefer to be called, "ex-pats" instead of immigrants though.

What makes him think that?

Of course there are decent Russians who should be allowed to stay in Poland if they can`t live in Russia. Putin oppresses not only Ukrainians but also his own nation, like in Stalin times when most victims of communist purges and Gulag persecution were Russians.

How many is Poland ready to accept?

Such decent ones?? Roughly speaking, 10 million. I can negotiate down to 8 million but it is my last word, remember!!! OK, last but one coz the last is 7,75 million.

I don't understand the purpose of starting this thread?
Is it a general mish mash, hot pot with anything about immigration in Poland?
You just communicated your feeling about one issue.
Ok, so what?
There is a bigger issue here. Poland doesn't have a plan or policies regarding immigration and immigrants.
In that case, I just share some of my thoughts on the issue in no particular order.
So far Tusk is talking about all those smelly illegal migrants from Germany.
There are too many Ukrainians in Poland and they have too many privileges provided by the Polish government.
What I mean by that, there are no more Ukrainian immigrants allowed in as to other immigrants, it is debatable.
First, there needs to be a Polish Immigration Policy.

smelly migrants.

It's Ramadan, they're allowed to brush their teeth and take showers as long as they don't swallow water. They don't have to be smelly.👳‍♂️

There are too many Ukrainians

That is why we need to counterbalance them with decent Russians like in Paulina`s initial post. The balance of nature we shall achieve will produce excellent results.

smelly migrants.

Did Iron say smelly immigrants?? AmaSSing coz he was one himself when he moved to the US in early 1990s.

I mean, there is a risk with russian migrants, but ARAB migrants... look at Germany Police's manhunt photos...80-90% foreigners/arabs.
Murder, guns, petty crimes... many are underage = no punishment.

And you're not Amerivcan.

Now get some sunlight, instead of mindlessly trolling an internet forum where you aren't wanted,

And you're not Amerivcan.

The US is my home and Country #1 because I took an oath to that effect.

Poland to me is just a memory and as relevant as Bulgaria. Given a choice, I would rather visit Bulgaria.

What does that make me in percent?

American - x%

Pole - y%

What is x and y?

Poland is your home country.

Which is why, despite it being g a nice sunny day where you're currently living, you're on here trolling about Poland from the moment you wake up til the moment your rheumy eyes close.

You may well be an immigrant somewhere else, however Poland is your home.

Interesting development....

For the first time in 25 years: More Poles are leaving Germany than entering

msn.com/de-de/finanzen/top-stories/zum-ersten-mal-seit-25-jahren-mehr-polen-verlassen-deutschland-als-sie-einreisen/ar-AA1IsSPX?ocid=windirect&cvid=d5c4424352eb4cc5a214ba860b2b15e5&ei=10

Germany, long one of the main destinations for Polish emigration, recorded a decline in 2024 for the first time since 2000.

Destatis data shows that 90,807 non-Germans moved from Germany to Poland in 2024. 82,082 people emigrated in the other direction.

Although Poles have long been moving to Germany, the number of emigrants increased sharply after 2011, when Germany fully opened its labor market to workers from Poland and the seven other countries that joined the EU in 2004.

"According to the German Statistical Office, more Poles will return to our country from emigration than emigrate to Germany in 2024," writes Andrzej Kubisiak, deputy director of the Polish Institute of Economic Research (PIE), in a post on the X platform.

"The trend is broader and also applies to other CEE countries, but given the demographic challenges, this is good news for Poland," he adds.

German media, such as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), also commented......

......

.....By comparison, Poland's economy has grown faster than any other EU country over the past three decades.

According to Kubisiak, there are no longer such strong incentives to emigrate among Poles or residents of Poland in general.

During the event "Deregulation. We're removing obstacles, we're making life easier," held on Monday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk praised the country's economic development.

"The Polish economy will rank 20th in the world by 2025, overtaking Switzerland, and the purchasing power of a Pole is higher than that of a Japanese," Tusk said....

Sounds good! Soon Germans will come for work....or our immigrants, that is...

I wonder about that too....:

For now, it's mostly retirees who are emigrating. The wage gap is still too large.
