I meant razor blades and not Gillette or bic ones. Similarly for pumice, I am not looking for electronic ones. I am looking for the stone pumice.

You would have to go in to the shop and have a look.
I would imagine that they would only stock spare razor blades for a razor they actually supply.
Not sure about pumice stones, but I think this store is your best bet and will have a wider range than supermarkets.

Have a look at this link, it's in German as the Rossmann chain is a German company, but you can see the razors and blades they sell :-

That they sell razors (blades) in their shops in Germany, it doesn't mean automatically, that do the same in their shops in Poland :)

But they should have such a stuff. If you don't have Rossmann in your neighbourhood - you should anyway have a shop selling such stuff. Called "drogeria", "sklep chemiczny", or anything like that.

Such a razor blade is called "żyletka" in Polish - but some people call so safety razors as well, so if you will be asking the shop assistant for help, it might be best to just show a photo :)

They sell a wide range of razors of all types (including ladies' ones) as well as pumice stones and anything else you'd expect to find.

I know, but there's a good chance they will have similar range.

If you don't have Rossmann in your neighbourhood -

The OP is in Warsaw, there's probably a few of them there :)

Dozens. And cheaper rivals as well in the big shopping malls.

Plus sometimes, local products that are just as good.

I'm surprised the OP hasn't bothered looking in chemists tbh. I don't even live in Poland but I know where to go to buy that type of stuff. Rossmann is the equivalent of Superdrug in the UK.

Exactly. One of the joys of being in other countries is looking in different shops. Especially chemists shops/drugstores. When I visit Arab countries I come back loaded with products you don't see here and female friends give me orders for stuff!

Ooh yes, don't get me started on Mydlarnia u Francziska. I stock up big time on their soaps and body butters whenever I am in Poland.

What is strange though is that I answered a post of the OP's before on places in Warsaw that did facial threading. He didn't reply to that one.

@chemikiem, thank you so much for the guidance. Apologies for not replying to your post on faces threading. Your answer was perfect and we found it very helpful. Sorry if I was not able to reply on time

Yes, I have bought safety razor blades in a big Rossmann in Poland before - in Warsaw, in Poznan, in Lodz.

Superpharm would also probably have some but can't guarantee that.

Actually gave up on safety razors a few months ago because kept getting hassle at airport when I just wanted to take hand luggage. Its a shame because I prefer the feel and quite liked my morning shave with that.

I am looking for the stone pumice.

They sell pumice stones in Auchan. They're not great quality (surprise, surprise) but as Basil Fawltly would say they could certainly be used in an emergency!

By the way, to those from Germany or knowing this country - where do you usually buy bath sponges? In "normal" supermarkets they are almost impossible to find. From what I remember, I managed to buy one in Rossmann - but its quality was very low and it got totally destroyed after 2 months of usage. Now I use one brought from Poland (which was, by the way, a few times cheaper) - I was using it for half a year in Poland before, now I have been using it for the next half a year and there is no sign of destruction. And they usually work for a few years until they just destruct.

I mean a sponge of this type:

Bath sponge

(which would be called "gąbka" in Polish)

Not of this type:

[Bath sponge]

(I wouldn't definitely call it "gąbka", it's rather "zmywak")

It's not a problem to buy a dish sponge, but it's really difficult to find a proper bath sponge in the shops here.

Rossman in Berlin sell natural sponges. A bit different to the two pictured and more expensive, but very good.

But I don't want a natural sponge, I want a normal synthetic one, which I could buy for something around 1 euro, and which would be robust.

Updated info: I visited many Rossmans in Warsaw and checked with couple of small and big pharmaceutical shops, but could not find old style razors. All they have is variety of Gillette and big razors.

Well, they should have them somewhere.

The Internet, even the Polish one, is not helpful here, because if you google for "where to buy a safety razor", it finds mostly posts of people from a subculture who want to buy them to cut their skin...

In the past it was easier, such razor blades were used not only for razors, but also in many other applications, for example in pencil sharpeners. Now it is no more so.

Some people say there should not be a problem to buy them in any newspaper kiosk or in a big supermarket like Real or Auchan.

Perhaps you weren't looking in the right place in the shop. You want this and Rossmann certainly sell it:
rossmann.pl/Produkt/Isana-Men-Classic-zyletki-do-golenia-10-szt,116683,671

Isana is Rossmann's own label but you can also get Wilkinson-Sword razors there
rossmann.pl/Produkt/Wilkinson-Sword-Classic-zyletki-meska-5-szt,289904,671
rossmann.pl/Produkt/Wilkinson-Sword-Classic-maszynka-do-golenia-na-zyletki-1-szt,291696,670

Alternatively you could get some on Allegro:

Hello Harry,

Thank you for your response.

rossmann.pl/Produkt/Isana-Men-Classic-zyletki-do-golenia-10-szt,116683,671

This is a blade and not a razor.

Isana is Rossmann's own label but you can also get Wilkinson-Sword razors there

rossmann.pl/Produkt/Wilkinson-Sword-Classic-zyletki-meska-5-szt,289904,671

This is also a blade and not a razor.

rossmann.pl/Produkt/Wilkinson-Sword-Classic-maszynka-do-golenia-na-zyletki-1-szt,291696,670

I have seen this one but this is not what I am looking for. I am looking for something like this:

razor, brzytwa

allegro.pl/zyletki-ostrza-do-golenia-nozyki-zyletka-10-szt-i6027900401.html

This is again blade and not razor.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, Indeed I am looking for this but these are very high end. Almost all are more than 500zl.

If they are that expensive I would imagine you are paying for the quality of the blade.
These type of razors are/used to be used in barbers shops in the UK, they are not generally used at home.
I would imagine using one of those is quite tricky.
If you can't find one at a cheaper price, can't you use an ordinary razor? Does it really make that much difference?

This one is about 30zł, including the delivery
allegro.pl/brzytwa-do-golenia-klasyczna-nowa-unikat-i5364725139.html

Just don't expect it to be of any quality.

I can use the ordinary one but I have been using these for many years and quality of shave is very good if you know how to use it. :)
