If Poland's birth rate being 209th out of 222 countries is not a falling birth rate, then what is. OK it could be 222nd.

Even Poland being 222nd wouldn't be a problem: there's no shortage of people on this planet, quite the reverse in fact. It's good to see Poland leading the way in dealing with the global population bomb.

And space aliens will be supporting Poland's old-age pensioners of 10 and 20 years from now. Poland is in the throes of a serious dmeographic crisis, even your hero Donny Boy says so, so it must be true!

There's plenty of Ukrainians and Belarusians to go around.

^ And it's not as if India or China would miss a few million people. There are plenty of people on this planet, and those who do have the ability to limit family size most certainly should do that. Well done to the Poles for leading the way.

Harry, you should move to China. Chinamen need your enlightened advice more than Poles do.

Archbishop Tadeusz Gocłowski said in a homily marking Papal Day at Warsaw's Holy Cross Church: 'European civilisation and its identity is threatened by the questioning of the family -- the essence of a durable bond between man and woman. That topic is increasingly being raised in great, seemigly wholly secularised France... Marriage and the family should receive legal and material protection so as to avoid tragic conseuquences. Such a conseuqence would be a sick family requiring treatment.'

You're right but when such message is continually wrapped up in religious undertones, more harm than good is done to the cause.

FAMILY IS THE BACKBONE OF PROGRESSIVE CIVILIZATION. RELIGION AS WE KNOW IT IS NOT.

^ China seems to have realised what happens if people are so selfish that they have as many children as they want to. And they know what to do with priests who tell people it's OK to be selfish. So I doubt they need me.

Instead of spending all your time on line bemoaning the death of families why not go out and either find yourself/start a family or if you already have one, hey, spend some time with them.

And progressive civilisation means free condomisaiton of school children.

You're just just further proving my point.
You've made a list of things that can be construed as problematic/destructive in our modern societies and pretend anyone who isn't religious somehow supports these things.

Why didn't you include these things: people forced to live together unhappily; church owned media publishing púrnography; priests raping innocent children?
Why didn't those factor into your list?

When you use these issues to push an underlying religious message, you're sabotaging the more important message.

, maybe removal of crosses fromn church steeples as violating separation of Church and state in public space

Interesting anecdote is that in Belgium the church tower is property of the state (and this since the aftermath of the First World War), whereas the church belongs to the parish.

The Polish episcopate giving us lessons in moral behave....Funny....A substantial part of it actively supporting mr. maybach...

Rydzyk is an astute entrepreneur, and that should warm the heart of all you economic liberals aka captialists. He set up a media empire, academic institutions and is developing a hydrotherrmal project.

I also am suspicion of anyone (cleric or layman) who feels he has to impress epopel by surrounding himself with all the fancy and pricey sheet metal of a Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Jaguar, Infiniti, Volvo, etc. But not all of you believe in 'less is better' and 'good enough' lifestyles, so why pick on someone who fancies a Maybach or Bentley?

Astute? The guy has made his money from exploiting the concordat as well as exploiting elderly, vulnerable people. That's not astute, that's criminal.

He set up a media empire, academic institutions and is developing a hydrotherrmal project.

Is that really what priests should be doing?

Rydzyk lost sight of what it means to be a priest a long, long time ago.

But you don't like priests in the first place and despise Chrsitianity so to you anything should be better than that.
Isn't ironic, ludicrous and downright absurd when an inveterate Church-basher dons the mantle of a Defensor Ecclesiae!

Yea, I'm gonna listen to a dude that dresses up in tunics every weekend giving advice about marriage and family. A man who has never had children (we're not counting molesting them) and who's never been married.

Polonius stop blindly following such garbage and please stop repeating your boring mantras here every single day. Go outside, smell the roses, learn to play the guitar, something, anything, just please stop ruining this forum. This is not your mouthpiece. You probably think you are instigating discussion? Well, you aren't. Please stop, you're killing this forum.
