So it's been all over the place that pub owners are going to start throwing up the price of booze this summer, but they're blaming suppliers....a load of BS if you ask me! Plus they're jacking up the cost of vodka for the Russians and beer for the Czechs...how much of an increase do you reckon they'll get away with?
Will they really stick up the price of booze this summer in Poland?
but they're blaming suppliers
They can blame suppliers all they want, but everyone who's worked in the industry know that the more stock you buy the cheaper it gets, so I think it's going to be a few bars taking advantage of tourists.
If it is the suppliers then it's disgraceful taking advantage of local businesses so they make less of a profit from what should be a great opportunity.
it is more likely to local publicans thinking that they can hike the prices due to many tourists coming to Poland and cash in from the footie
There is a solution to growing prices: make your own booze.

There's no law (thankfully) that would prohibit pub owners from setting up their own prices for food, drink, or other services. It used to work like that in communist Poland, but now they moved on. Competition will take care of it as needed.
