Do border guards in Poland visit homes randomly?

The border guards visited my place and asked for my documents, they said they were on routine check. After checking my documents and making few calls, they left. I don't know if it's a random check or I am being targeted. Has any foreigner got such experience here?

Nope,they never came to me in early 2000s when I even applied for my Karta Pobytu.Unofficially,I heard it depends on your country and religion.

They came when I first applied for my Karta Pobytu and they called before they came. This time, they just came unexpected. I am a Christian but they also mentioned that I am from a country where they are terrorists so you may be right. Thanks for your input cargo pants.

why chose Poland? Why not Brazil or Mexico?

I am sure firstly because those countries are not safe and secondly Poland has more apportunities so WHY NOT?
