I currently hold a valid Polish passport with 8 years of validity left. I would like to obtain a second passport booklet in order to avoid potential difficulties when travelling to countries that might refuse me entry if I they notice a stamp from another particular country. For example, Azerbaijan sometimes rejects entry to travelers with Armenian stamps in their passports.
I asked the Polish embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia and they told me that if I demonstrate ties to Armenia and a flight itinerary to Azerbaijan, they would issue me a second passport booklet and that processing takes two months.
However, a week later, they emailed back explaining that they contacted the Polish embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan and learned that Polish citizens with Armenian stamps in their passports are usually allowed into Azerbaijan. As result, I am not eligible for a second passport booklet for this reason.
Since I travel to many different countries throughout the world, including the Middle East, I'd like to play it safe and have this Polish second passport booklet ready to use rather than risk subjecting myself to unnecessary scrutiny when entering a country.
Does anyone here have experience obtaining a second Polish passport booklet (NOT a temporary passport but a full ordinary one), meaning that you have two separate Polish passports that are valid simultaneously?
If so, what reason for needing it and what documentary evidence did you provide to the Polish authorities?
Any assistance or insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
