Polish ID/Identity Card - Is it worth Obtaining?

Is a Polish ID card worth getting? What are the benefits of having one?

I am British living in the UK and have Polish citizenship also (I have a Polish passport). I do not intend to live in Poland any time soon.

I have applied for a Polish ID card online and am due to travel to Warsaw to show proof of my identity. It will then take some time for my Polish ID card to be ready so I would have to visit Warsaw a second time to pick it up.

Is the ID card worth getting if I don't intend to live in Poland any time soon?

Are there any benefits to having one whether a person is in Poland or somewhere else?

If you have a passport you don't need one. But since you are in Poland get a profil zaufany and you can conduct some government business online.

I have a profil zaufany already, I had to sign up and confirm it at a consulate in order to apply for an ID card online.

What benefits does a profil zaufany offer?
