Dispute with Landlord - overcharged for renovation

Hi All,
Could you please help me on my situation?
I am living in Gdansk, Poland for 10 months and now I gave 1 month notice to vacate the apartment as moving out of Poland.
My kids did some coloring on the walls and scratched here and there. I asked LL to provide me the estimate to fix these things. But, she gave me the estimate of 6000 zl for 52 m2 apartment for renovation and asking money. As the cost is huge, I said that I would get all the work done by myself. Now I found a painter to get all the works done. Now she is saying that I can not get the renovation done without her consent and now she is not giving consent. Rather she is threatening me to report my debt to the Voivodship Office so that I can not get the TRC.

What should I do in this situation? Could you please suggest?

Make your offer again - day that you will transfer the lower amount of money to her based on the painter you found

Then just leave - she will have to find you, hire a lawyer and do all the other stuff. The voivod office will be closed because of Covid and when it opens they will have a huge backlog

report my debt to the Voivodship Office so that I can not get the TRC.

Your TRC(Temporary residence certificate} has nothing to do with public debt esp in landlord tenant dispute,it is only effected if you owe anything to tax department. If I was you I would show her a fingure if you didnt care about your security, she cant do nothing. Its not worth it for her financially, usually in Poland land lords lately try to shake there foreign tenants.

Rather she is threatening me to report my debt to the Voivodship Office so that I can not get the TRC.

It makes no difference.

Then just leave - she will have to find you, hire a lawyer and do all the other stuff.

This is good advice; there is little or nothing she can realistically do.

I have update here, I surrender my deposit and leave the apartment as LL was threatening me to kick out.
Also, I moved out from the Poland.
I have received a summon from a lawyer in my email, he is asking to pay the renovated cost by some date. Could you please help me to understand about summon.

Can lawyer send summon via email in Poland? Normally court send notice if lawyer want to file a case. As I am not in Poland, what could I do?

No - they need to open a court case.

If you are not in Poland and are not going back just ignore it
