Work / Studying and living in Poznan for 5 months. [12]

What is google translator for? :)
If most of your classes will be at Morasko Camp you might want to find something at Piątkowo, which is close to Morasko and to PST (Poznań Fast Tram line). I lived at Bolesława Chrobrego, it's about 15 min from city center by PST. If you'll take double room I don't think you should pay more than 600zł per person per month. But it's been a while since I was renting room.

Which university are you going to attend? It will be easier to locate closest places. In my student times when I was looking for a place to live a usually used this site: gumtree.pl/fp-pokoje-do-wynajecia/wielkopolskie-poznan/c9000l3200006

News / Juwenalia - holidays for students in Poland (updated) [20]

Kortowiada (juwenalia in Olsztyn) is the BEST! The concerts are open for everybody, not like in Poznań. And the atmosphere is also great, parties, picnics everywhere. Though it become tradition that it's always raining on the weekend of Kortowiada. It's still great!

Life / Customs - First Holy Communion in Poland [42]

Fur coats in May... never seen. But the rest quite true and sad. Though not only Polish catholics have such attitude to First Holy Communion. In Mexico girls look like brides too. I think the whole occasion lost its sense long time ago.

Life / Olsztyn life; I'm Indian and I like the place [43]

I lived in Olsztyn for 7 years and I absolutely love the city! You can get everywhere on foot, it's green and peacefull, different from bigger cities. There is quite little old town, as Russians burnt it considering it as a German city. But it is still lovely. I really miss Sowa club, right under the castle, with great music especially on Fridays. Now I only see railway station ocasionally, on my way home :( I always felt there safe even walking alone by night so there no places to avoid.

Travel / Mosques in Krakow? [131]

There are only 4 active mosques in Poland, three in traditional architecture in Bohoniki, Kruszyniany and Gdańsk, and one located in a villa in Warsaw.

Life / Polish dubbing in movies; why is it so that on polish television all the films are dubbed? [135]

Kioko please switch on to Ale kino

I do watch Ale Kino, never seen dubbed movie, unless it was kids movie.

instead of the same guys voice over and over

I guess we got used to it, when I watch movie I feel like I hear original voice and understand it, though it is the lector who I understand. I just don't hear him. Maybe you will get used to it too, though I can't used to dubbing, that is why I never watch German channels ;P
