Life / Cannabis / Weed in Poland... How much does marijuana cost per gram and how easy is to get it? [355]

Stick with it....you eventually can look back and laugh at yourself, with no danger of ever going back there.

My dullest moment? Maybe when I paid stupid money for a trip to Amsterdam, and got so totally wrecked I couldn't get off the tram. I did about 60 laps of the city, and have no recollection of the entire weekend other than the interior of the tram!

Must put Amsterdam back on my "to do" list!

lighting up first thing in the morning the spliff you left in the ashtray the night before

I was at that party too! It lasted 3 years (Man!), during which I dropped out of college twice, crashed my motorbike (twice), lost 4 boyfriends (through negligence), half my family and 23 jobs! (I was sacked FIVE times!).

So what's my point??? Not sure, actually. Errr.....

"Canabis is bad, dude!"

Real Estate / Where to look on the internet for Poland Real Estate [112]

Indom.pl have a good website with polish/english and loads of pretty pictures.....they have English speaking staff, and can offer accommodation at a top class b&b with an english couple...they are wonderfully polite and helpful while you are seeking property.....but post-sales assistance is not quite as forthcoming as promised! South-West Poland mostly...jelenia Gora based (tourist mountainous area).

Inland Revenue

No such organisation....ceased to exist about 3 years ago, when it became HM Revenue and Customs. There are double taxation agreements in place between Poland and UK to prevent you from paying tax twice on the same thing, so don't panic! And the UK has a generous capital gains exemption allowance....don't be put off by the tax man! If you were to reinvest the profit into the polish property market, capital gains wouldn't apply... I also remember reading somewhere that if you have the property in excess of 5 years, no capital gain is applied....but would prefer not to stake my reputation on that one, as I seem to read a lot of contradictory information depending which web site I'm on...

More on tax issues?? If you make the property in Poland your principle private residence before you sell, you wouldn't have any tax liability on it in the UK as long as you sold it within 3 years of living there...so if you bought a place in Poland, kept it for 5 yrs, lived in it for a while, then sold, no CG tax in Poland or UK??! Unless it can be proven your intention was to make money from the outset...
