History / Need Help Identifying This Uniform [21]

Yes, unfortunately it would only allow me to attach a 150KB file; the original picture is sharper. I was told by family that my grandad was at Monte Cassino, but I can't find any records for him. As for an expert - do you have any advice as to who I could ask about it? I'm trying to confirm my Polish citizenship, but the Provincial Office are requesting military documents, despite the other documents I've submitted.

Hello, if anyone could help me identify what uniform the men in this photo are wearing (my grandfather is in this photo), I'd really appreciate it. Although there aren't many clues to help identify specifics, the cap badge of the man standing front-centre is visible, albeit very blurry. Thank you in advance.
