Real Estate / Where to live (South of Poland region)? [6]

Hi. I like quite long distance hikes, in winter conditions and summer. I know the Tatra mountains quite well but I haven't been to Poland for a few years. I haven't visited any other mountain ranges like the Bieszczady.

Real Estate / Where to live (South of Poland region)? [6]

Hi. My question is, where in the South of Poland is the best town to move to to get a balance between ease of access to a mountain range, probably the Tatra mountains, and access to services like Internet providers? I'm not keen on central Zakopane because of the ever changing temporary population, but maybe I'm wrong about that. Maybe it's OK? I know Krakow isn't too far from the mountains but, without a car to begin with it's going to a lot of travelling. Any other alternative towns? Is Wroclaw near a mountain range? Any advice welcome.
