News / Will America send troops to fight a Russian invasion of Baltics and/or Poland? [281]

we are still waiting for you to tell us more about the hug you posted.

It's quite telling when looked at objectively and even more so with the passage of time.

Indeed, who on earth in the capacity as a top elected government representative of Poland goes to a horrific plane crash scene which had no survivors, which left all of Poland in shock and in mourning, and then bizarrely acts as giddy as a woman at the first sight of Putin as if it were a long-lost family reunion?

Why else were Polish state prosecutors so interested in what your hero Tusk and his pal Putin discussed at the time?

Why was Tusk summoned so many times by Polish judges to give testimony anyway?

so americans wouldnt send a soldier from texas to defend kiev but why would they warsaw in that case?

Culturally America doesn't care about Ukraine or Poland.

But America does care more about Ukraine than Poland for other reasons.

Ukraine and its political stability and territorial integrity are more important to the United States for economic reasons. That's been the case for decades since the fall of communism.

This was laid out by a think tank in Washington DC over twenty years ago and you only need follow the news from time-to-time to see that this interest has not gone away.

Caspian Oil, the United States, and Ukraine

"The potential for energy wealth has already led Clinton administration officials to class Central Asia and the Caucasus as a region "vital" to the United States. Washington hopes that the development of natural gas and oil there will lead to reduced reliance on Middle Eastern suppliers for both the United States and its European allies."

Here is a photo that tells you all you need to know if you can't be bothered to read the article:

Yes, during the Tusk regime.

Indeed, Tusk met frequently in person and for a wide variety of occassions with his pal Putin.

Certainly more than Trump ever did.

A lot more!

The smiles, handshakes and relaxed body language say it all!

So, I am sure you know what had happened before their hug.

No, but I have a very good hunch.

What can you as a card-carrying, unrepentant PRLer tell us about the relationship between your hero Tusk and a certain STASI agent in Pomerania who went by the codename "Oskar"? :):):)

News / What should Poland do with the problem of Belarus? [1694]

Poland holds the line and Lukashenko blinks:

"Hundreds of migrants leaving Belarus for Iraq...Poland claimed victory over Alexander Lukashenko's 'hybrid warfare'..saying 'decisive action' stopped him exploiting vulnerable people."

Link: dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10245301/Belarus-border-crisis-Hundreds-migrants-fly-Iraq.html

What fantastic news! Poland demonstrates moral superiority by being firm on human rights! Well done Poland! Well done PiS!

it's either a lie or too late...

It's always by design even though at the time public concerns are denigrated and dismissed as being stuff of conspiracy theories.

In the case of the UK (a part of the EU at the time) it was openly admitted to decades after the scheme took place:

Labour threw open Britain's borders to mass immigration to help socially engineer a "truly multicultural" country, a former Government adviser has revealed.

'The huge increases in migrants over the last decade were partly due to a politically motivated attempt by ministers to radically change the country and "rub the Right's nose in diversity..."'

They are illegal trespassers looking for a bigger welfare check.

Absolutely. And they will never be productive members of society either. There is intergenerational welfare dependency with large immigrant groups in woke countries like France, Germany, the UK and Sweden. Granted these same countries have below-replacement birth rates with their native stock due to feminism. Their leftist governments (yes, even the ones which claim to be conservative are now only that in name only) are debt spending on these imported deadbeats to keep the gears turning for local consumption. But eventually that Ponzi scheme will end in failure. The wokerati playing this game are just hoping they will either be dead themselves or be able to retire to another continent before they have to face the consequences of their destructive policies.

the refugee camp

The EU and Poland regard them as migrants.

Why are you deliberately and misleadingly calling them "refugees"?

Which were the first neighboring countries of asylum for these so-called "refugees"?

Remember, Poland doesn't border Asia, Africa or the Middle East.

No.

Yes it is.

And as usual you demonstrate being the typical wokester who winces when confronted with reality. You are unable to survive your own purity spiral and you know it. Hence your off-topic diversions instead.

Nevertheless, this is a golden opportunity for you to set an example and apologize publicly for your own collective responsibility in the misery and subjugation of other minority groups. Not only for you being an out and proud homosexual agitator but also as an Arab-speaker as well and that community's long, sordid and shameful history in the slave trade which continues to this very day.

Your reluctance to apologize will be fully expected but I still hope you can find the courage to do so.

It sounds odd.

Only for someone still hobbled by an ESL handicap and who also doesn't want to face inconvenient truths.

Is it correct English???

Yes.

Their means whose (sic) exactly??

I refer you to the first image.

So, what have you done to educate such students about their collective responsibility? If you haven't then why is that the case?

I proudly admitted I am tolerant towards students affiliated with LGBT.

What have you done to educate such students about their collective responsibility in their own intolerance, abuse and oppression of other minority groups throughout history?

It gives a whole new perspective to Kosciuszko's desire for their emancipation, doesn't it?

Why would you work when you get...to use other peoples hard earned money.

Good point. I heard about a funny exchanges which regularly occur in Germany.

- African Migrant: "Hello my neighbor! I traveled thousands of kilometers to be here in Germany! Thank you for having me in your country! German people are wonderful!"

- Arab Man: "I'm not German, I'm Arab."

- African Migrant: "So where are the Germans at?"

- Arab Man (looking at his watch): "Probably working."

News / Famous Polish writer prosecuted for free speech [71]

Tell that to the prosecutor/publicist...

Your "famous" Polish writer as the defendant is the one who has to make his case for breaking the law.

And Poland's getting pretty bad press today too...

Well, then it's a good enough reason for you to start packing and leave. And don't worry, no one will notice you are gone.

he's that famous I never heard about him

He is only famous in the mind of the OP. The same OP who is British and gets excited about hashtags trending on Twitter. A platform used mostly by middle aged white women in America who vote Democrat.

guaranteed fee speech

You could never command speaking fees.

Anyway, Article 54 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland already guarantees freedom of expression.

And in 2021 it has been PiS which has been championing free speech by working on legislation to ensure that social media companies don't delete content or ban users who are not breaking Polish laws.

So what's the point of this latest PiS bashing thread of yours anyway?

We Poles may disagree with each other but there is still an expectation of decorum for the benefit of social cohesion.

Again, this is alien to you because you are British and come from a low trust society due to the corrosive anti-social behavior which is so commonplace in your British homeland.

Commenting on politicians is "anti-social behaviour" to you?

This so-called "famous" Polish writer wasn't critiquing policy.

He made a defamatory personal attack.

I know everything that needs to be known about Ireland.

an ancient tradition

So why didn't you stay and preserve one yourself?

Oh, that's right, you have other personal priorities while still expecting Ireland to remain a Skansen in order to keep your fond memories alive.

None of them are going to place a lit candle in a window hoping you return someday for a brief visit.

You moved on and so has all of Ireland. Deal with it.

They don't drink. How sad for the pub owners!

Exactly. It would have happened even without a pandemic.

So the buildings can be converted. It's already been happening and making Ireland a top destination for sophisticated cosmopolitan palates.

Pubs that have been in the same family for generations will be gone - very sad.

Not at all. They are just buildings that will be repurposed to reflect and serve the needs of modern, diverse, and progressive Ireland.

Off-Topic / What does the British guy mean guys? [31]

she cleaned up football culture to a degree.

But not British culture. That's irredeemable.

"...the prince reignited his war with the press, claiming that racism 'was a large part' of his and Meghan's decision to leave Britain.

He said he was told by an unidentified person at a charity event: 'You need to understand that the UK is very bigoted...'"

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9338137/Britain-stands-Queen-Tory-MPs-lead-backlash-against-Prince-Harry-Meghan.html

I am British of Polish parents

That would make you a disgrace to Poland but you are still not Polish anyway. Indeed, true Poles don't hypocritically sneer at Polish football fans from afar.

That's what the British do and they excel at it.

As usual, you show your your complete ignorance.

Oh look, as usual a low-brow Brit goes racing to defend the honor of a two-bit British actor who wouldn't give you the time of day.

a "sensationalist" documentary, but based on truth.

noun: sensationalism

1. (especially in journalism) the use of exciting or shocking stories or language at the expense of accuracy, in order to provoke public interest or excitement.

young Poles are looking for motivation, they have very little else in their lives.

How do you know?

How do they compare to your notorious British football hooligans?

"A survey commissioned by the FA [found that the] average England football hooligan is aged 25 to 44, has an above average income, is likely to be single and prefers to travel to away games."

theguardian.com/uk/2001/apr/05/football.footballviolence

But seriously, do you really think football clubs, the media, and advertisers care about "young Poles"?

Nope. In fact, there is a good reason why this anti-Polish attack piece was commissioned and it has everything to do with these businesses' (yes, that's what all of them are) bottom line and wanting to enter the Polish market.

And it is the same reason the British clubs were pressured to change the demographics of their teams and fanbases too.

From the same Guardian article above: "...with the aim of attracting more women, families and ethnic minority supporters."

In other words they need more consumers to fill seats, buy tat, and eat junk.

A small but committed homogenous fanbase won't fill their coffers to the brim.

They are a disgrace to Poland.

Yawn.

You are British and every Pole knows that Britain has besmirched and betrayed Poland at every chance it could get.

Clearly, you are still holding a grudge ever since Kościuszko and Pułaski gallantly sent you lot beating a retreat back across the Atlantic with your tails planted firmly between your legs.

at 8 minutes in when he starts talking the doublespeak saying traditional Polish tribalism and rivalry

What you are witnessing is the classic display of two British middle class busy bodies regarding others not like them with self-righteous contempt.

And they are getting paid to do to it too so all the better them.

For these two deracinated individuals all that matters in life is their bank balance and their property portfolio (always located in the "right" neighborhoods and villages of course).

the younger bald guy.

He's pretty old actually. Born in 1964. His only real claim to fame is playing a thuggish character in a British soap opera.

I got a laugh at 1:20 seconds into this anti-Polish propaganda piece where he ominously states "I'm not here to sample the culture, I'm off to meet some of Europe's most violent football hooligans."

Well, he is no stranger to violence himself. Back in 2005, one of his now ex-wives assaulted him and busted his lip during a domestic violence incident. Although she was arrested she was released without any charges. Clearly, he's a feminist simp too. Just like all of Britain.

Indeed, the big, bad ass, bald guy is in fact a punching bag for women and then he copes by taking his frustrations out on Poles who are simply enjoying camaraderie and rivalry at a football match.

Life / I saw Polish nationalism today [249]

You have no idea how twitter works.

You don't need a phone number to set up a twitter account. You can set one up with an email address.

Everyone knows that twitter is a platform to give a voice to far-left extremists and not those with a center or right of center point of view.

So why are you on twitter anyway?

It's mainly used by white American women in their 40s with mostly a high school education who vote Democrat.

U.S. adult Twitter users are younger and more likely to be Democrats than the general public. Most users rarely tweet, but the most prolific 10% create 80% of tweets from adult U.S. users

Nah. Twitter doesn't ban people for being anti-nationalist like you are pretending to be. It's the complete opposite.
