Law / Help regarding Poland's National 'D' Visa Appointment at Mumbai Consulate! [719]

@ash11091990
Hi, I hereby answer your queries regarding filling up of form.
1. You can select Computer Expert as your occupation, I don't see wrong in that.
2. Yes, you can select "others" option and write Work or Employment.
3. You are going there for work, so, for question 33, it should be by the applicant himself/herself.
Hope this helps, good luck.

@Urvashi
Hi, I had this situation, and you cannot attend a interview for work with others appointment. And you need to cancel this appointment to reserve a new appointment. You can cancel the appointment by calling them or mailing them. Good luck.

Hi, it means those token number bearing visa file decisions are made and their passport is ready for collection. They usually update token numbers every week. Past two weeks they are updating it real fast, meaning they are quick with the decisions. So, they should update it again this Friday or next week Monday. So, when your token number appears there, you can just go to consulate to collect your passport. Good luck.

Hi, I am not native to Mumbai, I had booked a confirmed ticket. That's a risk but I had to. There is no need to show accommodation details for work visa. But, I did attach a accommodation reservation for a week. Looking at Airbnb can be an option for temporary accommodation. Good luck.

@Adidasboy
If it's a work visa, there are no questions at all, unless, when your work permit is one year or less. Then, they might ask you some questions regarding your plan after a year. You submit your documents, they ask you to show your original work permit and only sometimes your diploma and experience certificates . And you will be asked to leave with a token number to track online. Good luck.

I am on 10th month now and had just applied for my visa. The offer letter and details of your contract comes first. Once you agree and sign, the work permit process starts. So, now you can imagine, how things work. Btw, I am just one such case here, there are so many who get things done fast like in 4 weeks or in couple of months. It purely depends on how your file is handled back in Poland to issue your work permit.

Yes, that's how it works. Good luck.
@Shrey
No need for any documents, can be paid by cash or dd by just filling up a challan as we do in banks to deposit. You can do this in the front desk of the ADCB Bank located at Churchgate, Mumbai. And I guess anyone can pay, maybe the payment slip should be with your name [not sure of this]. Do confirm this. Good luck.

I too got a direct job opportunity from a company in Poland. Madhubanti0007 has answered it all well regarding work permit progress. Only thing is, the time frame varies depending on your place of job and the number of applications that particular immigration office or so called urzad office in Poland have to handle.

Hi, Congrats. I can answer to some of your queries which I have an idea with.

1. Work permit these days can take somewhere between 4-10 months. Depends on different things .
4. Yes, it can take more than 3 months and that is normal.
5. You will a soft copy from your employer or any agent in Poland who is handling your work permit issue. You will also receive a original hard copy via post to your Indian address.

Good luck.

@Hash1

Great to see your advice and comments. I really appreciate it. By any chance, are you a visa officer in one of these embassies trying to build faith with people who are commenting here? And please note people here are not fools to try at random times, they are all literate enough to know the timings as to when the slots open every week. People here try all day and all week around, even months and even a year. Try to confess that you and some people are just lucky enough to have slots. Good luck with your studies or work whatever.

Frankly, no single advice, I mean time fits for all. Those who managed by themselves can never guarantee it for others. ONE SIMPLE ADVICE, YOU GOTTA BE THE LUCKIEST ONE on that day. Trying out for National visa student and work appointment is the biggest test of ones patience against this ridiculous system.

Hi all,

I can imagine, it's been a struggle for everyone with this appointment issue. I have been trying this for nearly couple of months now with no success. I then decided to travel all the way to Mumbai to ask people there as to how are they managing to get an appointment. Guess what, out of at least 50-60 people I had talk with, every single one ( except just ONE ) said they got it through some agents. So, the odds for people like us trying looks very slim to me.

It was 6th August for you and 7th for me. And it's not the first time this happened. Unless there is something happening behind the scene, don't believe this is gonna work. If there is someone from any where in India who was successful recently, do share your experience or advise. This can be helpful for everyone who are struggling.

@Sanjay

Sadly, They will not. I had the same issue, I called them and confirmed it. And you have to send them a mail requesting to cancel your appointment. If you don't do so, you cannot register again for a new appointment. You can confirm this by making a call to the embassy. Good luck.

There is no need to mention your work permit details on the application form. Do note, when you have an appointment and go to the embassy to submit your application and others documents, you need to have your work permit to submit along with your visa application. Good luck.
