Thanks. That is exactly like me.

If I post my birth certificate issued last September in Warsaw, will you STFU?

A simple yes or no will do.

News / Poland has accepted over a million Ukrainian refugees. Why does the EU keep telling propaganda about Poland? [304]

You claim ti despise commies but you praise an ex KGB man bent on reasserting Russian dominance in Eastern Europe.

When the Soviets put some bad s*** in Cuba in 1962, the US went nuts and was ready to go to war with them. Now, NATO, that toothless military welfare receipient still in the US pocket, rolled its hardware right up to the Russia's doorstep, meddled in Ukraine, and put sanctions on Russia for their "aggression" in Crimea. I used the quotation marks around aggression because Crimea was always part of the USSR and was given to Ukraine by Kruschev with the population nearly all Russian. With Ukraine going west, no wonder Putin wanted his Crimea back to keep that military base there.

If Kosovo can decide for itself what it wants to be, so can Crimea. There was a vote, nobody got shot, case closed.

That ex KGB man, bad Putin, is going to church to pray nowdays. I would take him over that a-hole Obama any day for his patriotism and the determination to keep Russia as well off as he can. There is a reason they love him there. BTW, what's wrong with being an ex KGB agent? Is being an ex CIA agent, yeah that CIA who lied us into a multi-trillion was in Iraq and caused so many deaths in there we don't even know the final count, any better? How many people did Putin personally shot or water boarded? What specific crimes did Putin commit?

USA, Canada / Why do Americans (and Canadians) hate Polish people? [226]

I have yet to meet a truly stupid Irish or Polish person.

How true. All the Polish engineers at my last place of employment were the very best and at the top withing the engineering department. They would argue, just like me, but they were smart and supremely proactive. One of them would walk into my office to tell me that I am a very manager. My response was that I liked his balls to tell me that to my face. He left confused and laughing.

When I came to the US in 1967, I instantly ran into the Polack jokes. One of them was on a bulletin board of Stewart Warner where I started, showing a revolver with the barrel pointing back and Polish Gun right under it. That bs lasted about a day or two. Then I threw a fit, told them that some of the best guns are made in Radom, and that it was the American-made M-16's there were often found jammed next to dead Americans in Vietnam. Nobody ever offered a Polish joke in my presence.

What is with speaking proper English?

My wife is Polish. She came to the States when she was 17 so she speaks very good Polish. We married in 1970 and when our first daughter turned 1 and showed signs of being annoyed by other kids in an all Anglo 'hood because of the few Polish words she picked up from us, one day we switched to the English only, with no exceptions, between ourselves and everywhere else. This decision paid off very well. The the extra money I earned as a manager and later as a director, the position I held until my retirement was a tangible proof. Had I clinged on my Polish heritage, whatever it means while living in "America", I would have never been promoted, and, thus, denied the extra 50 grand a year for about 20 years. That 50 is my immediate salary raise plus the managerial bonus. Do the math and see what being fluent in English does to your cash flow.

Even in Poland it pays to know English. A friend came to the States a while back. Her son hated it here so he went back. Luckily, with his English he became a tour guide for foreign tourists. Last time I heard, he was doing very well.

Without trying to be funny or offensive, there is only one reason why a Polish person deserves to be called dumb or stupid: it's for clinging to everything Polish - the newspapers, books, movies, TV, radio, bars, restaurants, and the company he keeps, while neglecting English and the immersion in the culture of the country he chose to be his new home. If this is your choice you lose the right to complain about the non-assimilating Muslims and how you are being exploited at your low-paying job.

Answer the following questions:

Do you understand what "for the last time" means as included in my post 148?

Also, do you understand what FO means or do I have to use the full phrase?

Why do Americans (and Canadians) hate Polish people?

The question itself is arrogant and has a load of self-importance. For me to hate you, you have matter and be relevant to me. (Trolls, that "you" was editorial. I really have no feelings, good or bad, about Crow).

For example, I don't hate Mongolians because they don't matter to me. But I do MS-13 and, by extention, everybody from El Salvador because they should not be here, legally or not.

And the dart landed right on Warsaw, Poland. Not even two centimetres away. Not on Szczebrzeszyn or Zakopane, but exactly on Warsaw.

You are beyond pathetic. Do you know what sarcasm is? Do you know when somebody is yanking your chain? I admitted doing it in my 131 and you still take it literally. No wonder I left Poland and have even less desire now to go back.

OK, for last time, how do I prove that I was born in Poland and lived there until graduation? I gave you choices so either answer or FO.

very unidiomatic phrases... you have.

Are you OK? Unidiomatic phrases after 50 years of not using the language? I can barely put a sentence together in Polish without some hesitation. Plus,I did my damnest to forget it and switch to English everywhere - at home, at work, in the Polish stores and restaurants, even in the Polish Consulate - to the total exclusion of Polish. My kids do not know one word in Polish other than kielbasa, pierogi and oplatek. I made sure that they would not have any split loyalties and learn that terrible Polish the locals here do.

So, don't make me laugh with those "unidiomatic" phrases. If you stayed in bed for 50 years, you wouldn't know how to walk.

I am going to make an exception to my rule never to debate kids and women, and ask you which of the "forged" documents I mentioned in my totally sarcastic Post 131 would you like to see?

Secondly, if I post one you like, are you (1) going to accept it and say oops, sorry, or are you going to say that it's indeed a forgery and proves nothing?

BTW, how the f*** can anyone prove from a distance that he speaks a language with the Google translator being as good as it, in fact, is? OK, genius, your turn to explain that little problem.

News / Poland has accepted over a million Ukrainian refugees. Why does the EU keep telling propaganda about Poland? [304]

Oh how is Poland lucky. Lucky that Serbians strengthen and reuniting.

I agree. The Polish model is in my opinion unsustainable. A country cannot rely on exporting its population in the millions for a bribe. Or for a fake NATO security. I wish Poland the very best and in some way I like the idea of the US troops there. Except that the US troops are there today and maybe gone tomorrow, but Russia is going to be where it's at - as we say here - forever.

The idea that the US will go to war with Russia over Poland is beyond insane. The US lost Korea, Vietnam, and can't flush the toilet in Afghanistan and go home. We are broke and can't or won't even protect ourselves at the Mexican border. The Russia-US war will never happen no matter what Russia does to Poland because that war would have to be nuclear.

Any gesture toward Russia by Poland is in my view a good move as Russia and the Eastern Europe is the white Christians' last stand. That is why Putin vs Obama comparisons were so lopsided here in "America". FYI, Putin was a runaway winner and Obama a source of shame. What's happening today is insanity.

USA, Canada / Why do Americans (and Canadians) hate Polish people? [226]

You may have a point. Here, in the best country on earth, aka the USA, engaging perfect strangers in a short smalltalk is routine. While cruising,I often end up at McDonalds for breakfast. On many occasions, I would notice a group of older guys just sitting there, sipping coffee and enjoying their conversation. As shyness is what I left in Poland, I would walk right up, say hi and ask if I can join in. Always and without any exceptions I was greeted with sure sit down. With my usual sensitivity in such matters, my first question is often, is this a Trump territory or Hillary? BTW, the only time the response was "Hillary" it was to have fun with me for a moment.

Could I do in Poland?

Life / I'm British in Poland and I think that it's time to go back to the UK! [240]

Are you talking about me or some other person? I am asking since I never expressed any "hate" toward the Polish Consulate. I can express hate directly by saying "I hate..." without relying on your unusual ability to read between the lines or filling in the missing words I chose deliberately not to write.

Which brings me to the subject of freedom of speech. Once I knew a Russian working at the same place where I was. Sometimes we would go lunch and talk about things. Almost always, when he was ready complain about the US, he would lean forward and lower his voice to a whisper. His fear of KGB or whatever it was when he was leaving Russia was so ingrained.

The above connects to this forum as follows. It seems that some here assume that others express themselves in riddles for whatever reason. So, instead reading the text as written, literally and without looking for some hidden subcontext, they guess, infer, decipher, decode, looking for what was not said directly. So, let's see now who needs treatment and meds.

So, my dear detective and the seeker of truth: wait until I write "I hate..." to be sure that I really do. I don't need or appreciate your assistance in this matter.

('Rich' is not the only one who tells lies about his life).

In the world of logic and reason, to claim that somebody is lying, the claimant must meet at least one of these conditions:

1. The claimant knows that a statement is not true because the claimant knows what is true. Me claiming I had dinner with you yesterday would factually be false and, therefore, a lie.

2. The claimant knows that the likelihood of a statement being true is practically zero. Me saying that last week, being 76, I lifted 2000 pounds has zero probability of being true.

3. The claimant knows that an untrue statement was made with full knowledge and premeditation. Not every statement that is not true is a lie.

You are welcome.

News / Poland has accepted over a million Ukrainian refugees. Why does the EU keep telling propaganda about Poland? [304]

She would lose the next election. But since most Germans agree with her on this in principle, this has not happened so far.

Reasonable people can disagree on many issues. Bringing in and keeping the smelly scum that would rape your mothers, sisters, daughters and wives has no middle ground, unless you are a mf-ing gutless, guilt-ridden, brainess, and as always obedient German, obviously. Man, do I hate these people.

When I was done in Holland in 1967 I was offered a temporary position in Germany. And that's before I got my immigration papers all squared away. My response to it was the shortest no I ever uttered.

BTW, it really got to me while walking in Radom back in September to see Deutsche Bank somewhere on Zeromskiego. I even took a picture to make sure I am not hallucinating. How about just Bank Niemiecki? What is next? Auschwitz Bank? Just curious, how many would deposit money in an Auschwitz Bank because it pays a percent higher interest?

Every time this pathetic troll tries to give some patetic detail of his pathetic relations with Poland, he is proved liar.

OK. Time to fess up.

One morning, after taking a badly overdue leak, I fired my computer and, bored out of my mind, I decided to create my new alternate reality. My being an American finally got to me. Like how much of that anyone can take without going nuts.

Just like some guys with all the plumbing, prostate and all decide to be a chicks, I resolved to be a European. Being black or Asian was not an option for obvious reasons.

Not being sure from what country, I took a dart from my desk and, with both of my eyes fully closed, I just threw it at the world map in my rec room. And, wouldn't you know, it landed smack on - you guessed it right - Warsaw, Poland. Wow, holy s***, now I was Polish. Then I realized that I need some supporting docs in case I get challenged by some annoying clowns on PL.com.

Consistent with that, I created a fake diploma from the Politechnika, a birth certificate (USC would be envious how it came out) and, finally a counterfeit US passport showing clearly that I was born in Warsaw, Poland, instead of Indiana. The fact that this act carries some major penalties - you see, the feds here take very dim view of such activities - was not a factor in my decision because the fun I would have yanking some distrusting moron's chain would be worth the risk of serving years in a federal pen. Not to mention the fines.

To further support your so totally justified suspicions, I would like to offer to you this link:

amazon.com/Dumb-Things-Women-Get-Hurt-ebook/dp/B01N1MTJIG/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1516978366&sr=1-3&keywords=dumb+things+women

This version, published in November of 2016, is not the first so I lost a lot of reviews - some good, some bad. What is true - you can really trust me on this - not a single review claimed that my English was even marginally bad. Not even one. They hated me for many other reasons, but not that one.

The reason I mentioned my literary achievement here is that a guy who claims be born and raised in Poland until the fully formed age of 24, without any English classes, could not have possibly write anything like that. No way. Which finally proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that I am nothing but a big fat liar and a fake. Well, actually I am not fat but that's what we often put between "big" and "liar".

BTW, if you would like a copy for free, I will be thrilled to send you a docx file if you pm me your email address. Short of that, just click Look Inside over the book top edge to read the Introduction and the first few pages.

My sincere apologies for being so terribly deceitful.

News / Poland has accepted over a million Ukrainian refugees. Why does the EU keep telling propaganda about Poland? [304]

A country and its citizens have a say in what happens within their boundaries.

I would suggest a small correction to the above sentence:

A country and its citizens should have the final and legally binding say in what happens within their boundaries on matters as critical to the nation's survival.

The hardest thing to explain to those born in the West is that their "democracies" are an illusion and that they are just useful tools, with some, like a typical liberal American voter, being just useful idiots. They are unable and unwilling to accept the idea that they just as powerless to have a say in the most critical decisions as we were under the Soviets.

Like who comes. Admittedly, the commies controlled also who goes and kept us at the lowest standard of living short of causing riots like in 1970. And that's about it.

A quick test: If all Germans want x and the top 10,000 with their fuhrer Merkel want y - y being open borders to the scum nobody wants, what would be the outcome?

BTW, my apologies to Hitler for comparing him with Merkel. He was the worst sob ever walking but at least he was a patriot not a globalist moron like his current replacement.

I hope so.

Comparing a family with a country is actually easy. My place has this invisible red line with an invisible message: you cross it without my permission, you die. And I have a very nice Beretta which is always loaded and ready to enforce the above rule. Why do we look at Israel with disapproval for having the same approach to the invaders is beyond me.

My point is that my rule does not allow any strangers in, even if they promised to cut my grass and shovel snow - things I just don't like doing. There is no amount of money some a-hole from Pakistan could pay me to let him live with me in my spare bedroom if there was any possibility he would rape my daughters or my wife.

Sweden, Germany, and UK do it and proudly insist on doing it. This is beyond sick and cannot be explained in any rational terms.

But I agree with your explanation. Still sick.

I noticed that some call Merkel fuhrer. IMO, this is an insult to Hitler as Hitler was doing his best to make Germany stronger rather than cause its destruction.

BTW, just curious, how much time would I serve in Germany for writting that last sentenced? It feels so good to live in the best country ever created, the USA.

It's very depressing and serves as yet another reason for me to stay here and lovingly stare at the US Constitution. With all my posts in the past, I would be serving life-no-parole in Europe or get decapitated by one of the followers of the religion of peace.

BTW, I am really curious why the Euros are doing it? Normally, people act to have more power, sex, or money. How allowing the foreign, unemplyable, and hateful scum into, say, Sweden makes any anyone there better off. I just don't get it.

As a side note: trolls, here is your opportunity to say that there are many things I don't get, so go for it.

Even as an American citizen you cannot generalise whole America. There are for sure other parts of the country that you have not seen before.

Yes, I can if based on statistics. Generalization does not mean everybody. It only means that there is a pattern worth considering when my safety is concerned. Five Koreans teenagers walking down the street - no problem. Five black teenagers - big problem.

Today, even statistics are "racist". Quoting the crime data showing black murder rate being so many times higher than whites', will get you fired faster than anything; maybe with the exception of claiming that rape is the single most often falsely reported crime in the US.

It's a fact that women use their ability to lie as a weapon but if you say it you are done. This is why I would never go on a business trip with a woman. To many guys this turned out to be a career ending experiment. In the she said he said situation the guy is screwed every time.

News / Poland has accepted over a million Ukrainian refugees. Why does the EU keep telling propaganda about Poland? [304]

Let's get the terminology right first before we start having a debate :)

The problem is that the term "refugee" aquired a new meaning. A refugee, typically a woman with kids, used to be a person who needed a safe place while her homeland was on fire. Once the fire was out, refugees were expected to go back home. Not any more. Like herpies, refugees are forever. It's like a guest that never leaves after the party is over.

Another problem is that if a refugee leaves a shi--- like Guatemala because he was "scared for his life", which, of course, is a damn lie, and is now in Mexico, he is safe. Yet, the scum quickly morphs into an undocumented immigrant looking for better life in "america" and the dumb US falls for this crap as it must because the US has no border, only some funny guys called CBP that merely register said immigrants and turn them loose but can't stop them the Israeli style.

As far I see from your comments you just want to complain anything you see.

Didn't you ever go to a restaurant so bad that you would never want to go there again?

My comments about Poland are such a review. Add to this my 50 years of not using Polish, and the decision was simple when I realized I would be dealing with morons in the event of a medical emergency. At my age and after two incidents where my life was on the line, nothing is more important. When Poland passes a law that will require all hospitals to treat all patients with life threatening conditions without asking a single question before the treatment starts, I may reconsider. It's that simple.

Life / I'm British in Poland and I think that it's time to go back to the UK! [240]

So.... how did you manage to leave Poland in 1966?

It was not simple. At a conference in Western Europe, my father met a guy who was the head of PLM in Maastricht in Holland - a Dutch version of Instytut Electrotechniki w Miedzylesiu. After my graduation in 1966, both me and my father worked at the Instytut. I picked that place to make it easier for me to get a leave of absence for three months "to go na praktyke at PLM" almost immediately after I started.

The next step was to get the passport. At that time, it was either private (blue?) or panstwowy (green). I got green and only for Europe, so I was good to go to Holland and no farther. Still, as soon as my foot was on the Dutch soil, I was at the US Consulate in Rotterdam to apply for the US immigration status. It took a while, but after 9 months I was finally on my way to NY. The hardest part was to extend my passport to the US. Without that, I could not go there without going through the process of applying for a political asylum in Germany. That idea was never an option for me. Instead, my father used his contacts at UB to get me what I needed. No, he was never a member of PZPR but did some consulting for UB. End of the story.

There is no clinic on Szpitalna Street in Warsaw.

You are correct. My bad. It was Solec 99. The hospital is also on Solec down the street. I stayed on Dobra 22/24 through AirBnB.

The fact that the clinic and the hospital are public does not change anything. If they don't take credit cards the minimum a decent human being with a functioning brain would do is direct a sick guy like me to the nearest private facility. Instead, as under commies, the moron just wanted to get rid of me without any valid reason like me being impolite. I was too sick to be impolite and I spoke as well and anyone in Poland, as at no time my Polish was an issue.

Poland has a problem of the habits and the customs from the days of communism still lingering. Eventually, you will be like the US where a customer is more important than a clerk and getting information does not involve what we compare to pulling teeth. On the other hand, I admit that the US Embassy was just as bad, but that's another story.
