Life / Using less American stuff in Poland [37]

If there's a branch of Pasibus near you (mostly in shopping centres), they're pretty ok.

Yeah I like that. Max Burger (swedish) is also good but pricy

Why didn't he just shoot the tyre ?

Apart from the fact that he is a bloodthirsty murderer

So I am sticking it to the US imperialists

McDonalds started messaging me with offers - they obviously noticed I'm not going any more

Fight the power !

Only one fast food this week so far - "Chinese" from a dodgy Viet place on outskirts of town. Edible but wouldn't win any prizes and certainly worse tasting than Macs

We shoot cars that are about to kill cops.

I think even donut loving Chief Wiggum could have stepped out the way of that

And it wasn't a cop - more like some unlicensed militia.

Fortunately in decadent old Europe such things never happen. Our police are not ideal but they are not lawless fascists

Off-Topic / American Special Military Operation in Venezuela [353]

Yeah - I don't think there are many options these days for the deposed - Honecker was in Chile, Idi Amin in Saudi and Kaiser Wilhelm in Netherlands. Used to be quite a collection of African tyrants in the posh suburbs of Paris.

I'm wondering what Trump is going to do after retirement.

I dont know - maybe some kind of military tech. I heard the North Nigerians are worried that the US will be able to reverse engineer their supposedly most sophisticated tech in Syria and Vz.

Whatever tech they have is probably several decades behind so it's weird to make such a fuss.

Could it be....just loud thinking....maybe a nuke??? (Or important parts to build one)

What else needs nowadays still such a bruhaha.

Huge bag of stolen cash probably

Assad landed in North Lagos with a plane load of dollars and Euros, which Putler promptly swiped from him

News / Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 28 [69]

Still, Russia had one major success in 2025: it managed to resurrect Budionny's horse army and send it to the frontlines!

Having run out of horses the North Nigerians had another bright idea - a column of quad bikes

How do you think that ended up ?

They had a good chance to take Pokrovsk now with the world tied up in Venezuela. Instead they have gone backwards.

that Britain wouldn't last a single day on the battlefield against Russia.

Oh - that sounds kinda familiar

Like the 3 days it would take to capture Kiev ? LOL

Just remember to bring some ammo, a GPS and some fuel this time !

Dumb ass drunk losers

Is the Chinese tech stuff more reasonable to buy by Europeans than the American one?

Samsung is Korean

But I'm not changing from Apple - too much of a pain in the ass. I will however go as long as possible without replacement, cut down Apple Store purchases etc

For AI then I asked Chat GPT and they recommended French company Mistral

It's in frequent use by the types who are obsessed with transsexuals and migrants and boast about their crappy guns and cars.

In educated circles it is not polite

Yes - I remember that case. In fact buying less American stuff aligns with being a healthier better person in many cases - less social media, fast food, junk tv, oil.

Tomorrow I will be thinking about how to replace audiobooks (I love them but Apple and Amazon have a duopoly in English titles). Might just be Empik store

News / Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 28 [69]

What's the point of torturing and murdering a civilian (and not even from a country directly involved in war)?

For the North Nigerians ? Well they enjoy it and are told it is part of a holy mission

You can Google the atrocities they committed in Pokrovsk over Christmas.

I know you admire Shostakovich and all that but the soldiers on the ground behave like beasts, absolute feral filth.

I recently had a good goulash at the BP gas station on S3. I can only recommend it.

Will try that

Plenty of options in Shell and Moya too. Amic is out - a front for North Nigerians - and Circle K I like but need to check if the Canadian owners have American capital.

And your impression is the same as mine,...the world gets partitioned again, with the global big players grappling to get the biggest and tastiest morsels to secure their future.

There are some very weird people round the Whitehouse and Pentagon these days and lots of them seem to think the same. Generally those with little knowledge of the world outside America.

I think some of them have been watching too many videos of 19th century North Nigerian tactics of running head along towards machine guns, and think all foreigners are that stupid.

When the world was partitioned into spheres of influence in the 19th century there was one key difference - the natives didn't have guns or weapons training. Once they did, they inflicted costly and bloody defeats on all the colonialists in Vietnam, Malaya, Algeria, Afghanistan.

People don't generally like being ruled as slaves by extractive foreigners. I don't know how many countries Golden Cow is thinking of invading, but after a few months of disorientation, the inhabitants will start fighting back with modern weapons, cyber warfare, maybe even cheap nukes.

At that stage your average G.I. (who these days is often Latinx or black) might start wondering why they are risking their lives for some oil company or tech billionaires, when they could be sitting at home peacefully watching Netflix with the kids

Costa has been going downhill since the pandemic. High prices and locations getting tatty. Coke are trying to sell the business.

Plenty of good regional competition too like Nowakowski in Warsaw, Piskorska in Wlkp and Lajkonik in South of Poland

Eating while on the road is going to be one of my biggest challenges. For example, between Warsaw and Berlin, I can only think of American options - McDonald's, KFC, Burger King, Subway. Though there is also ORLEN (I just finished boycotting them) and I know both Zabka and Pasibus are thinking of drive ins)

On smaller roads then I will explore more Polish owner options even if it takes more time it will probably be healthier

Yes, but it is not the original - some dude started the brand again a couple of years back.

Plenty of alternatives to Coke though - Hoop (Polish) Kofola (Czech), Frtiz (Germany) plus own brands. i guess Dino own brand cola is Polish

So this is one of my resolutions for 2026

Maybe not to boycott but to use less, so that my money doesn't go to taxes used for US bullying

One to start with - I rarely use Starbucks as it's a high calorie rip off but I do use Costa. Not any more - Sowa for me because Costa is owned by Coca Cola

For instance, I knew China was in Cuba but the extent of what they are doing there was completely lost on me.

I nie tylko - there are 5 Chinese restaurants in Torun - the Lotos, Orient Express, Thienlong, Beijing and most suspicious the one just called "Restauracja Chinska". What can they be up to ?

News / Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 28 [69]

express.co.uk/news/world/2153854/russia-erik-selimov-death-ukraine-putin

Colonel Erik Selimov won't be joining the victory parade. Not pushed out a window or blown up by Ukrainian spooks - instead a mysterious car smash, aided by a few bottles of gut rot vodka in Donetsk.

It's now the one month anniversary of the North Nigerian scum claiming they had captured Pokrovsk and would have an open road, collapsing front etc. in fact they have moved forward er...not at all. No Venezuelan oil or mercenaries, no Iranian drones soon.

News / Will Poland help defend Greenland against US Imperialism [501]

Outsourcing's been around since Reagan.

Yeah at least since 1987 when the Clank and Bang Speedometer Corporation was moved from Chicago to Juarez with the loss of all hands. Biden's fault for allowing transsexuals of course

Whatever happens in this part of the globe needs our consent.

like moving failing factories down to old Mejico so someone can screw together car parts for a fraction of the cost

In the real world the amount of things that needs US consent will shrink. Golden Cow has done the world a great service by making them think about alternatives pronto.

When will the West come for the Saudis and Emiratis? Oh that's right, never... Because they own your companies, your football teams, your airports and ports, and so on.

But they don't threaten us with nukes like North Nigeria and they don't tell us we are degenerate losers, like the US has (bizarrely) started doing

What we need to do with all of these douchebags is use less oil and be less reliant on their tech. Oh, and develop our own nukes. That won't happen overnight but it's sure in motion.

News / Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 28 [69]

In the real world, alas, chances for anything of the above happening are rather slim.

Nonsense - senseless losses at the front combined with a worsening economy have already caused regime change in North Nigeria in 1917 and it will happen again.

You like your Slavic literature so get stuck into Dr Zhivago

News / Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 28 [69]

When the war in Ukraine ends and sanctions are lifted, Poland will increase its energy purchases from Russia exponentially.

Not gonna happen. Some has been replaced by wind and solar and some will be replaced by fuel from more normal countries like Norway, Canada, the US and even Nigeria

The damage Putler has done to North Nigeria's oil industry is permanent. The only people who want to buy from drunk rapists are those who receive bribes like Hungary (North Benin) and Slovakia (well on the way to becoming North Togo)
