UK, Ireland / Racist ex-priest Międlar tries to fly from Poland to U.K. again. [293]

@cms

I am not sure...apparently police did not know. I read this article below and my eyes got wider and wider....What is the sh...t that this Brother Robert is talking about.

O yes we know he was notey we got upset and followed him a bit and he improved a little.....but it was fine to let him doing what he was doing.

Should not he been kicked out from this island at once?

I wonder if there's any more dirt on Międlar, after all, he's fascist scum, and that goes hand in hand with personal depravity.

You don't like him so you are looking for more but I think right wing extremists are not necessary paedophiles. I think it is rather opposite paedophiles are usually good society men ( on the surface).

His inciting hatred and his rhetoric is strong - clearly he does not spread love and tolerance ....but to be honest I think he has some serious psychological issues.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2773]

@Dirk diggler

To be honest I have not researched this subject so thoroughly so I don't want to argue but just 2 thoughts.

>>>The remaining 90% are by criminals shooting each other or innocent people with guns they acquired illegally>>>>

I believe they are illegal so they will be harder to trace later by Police...but I think there are much more these type of shootings in USA than in Europe ( also with illegal guns). What is the reason?

and

did you read this article? Do you agree ?

[quote=cms]Many victims and a huge cover up. It has many parallels to Rotherham. I'm a catholic.quote]

I does not- in Rotherham P O L I C E and S O C I A L services were notified and they had done nothing. 2 institution ( supported by tax payers money) which should support the most vulnerable people in society did nothing. Justice only started rolling when brave journalist fromThe Times opened box of worms.

How do these people can live with their conciousness now is beyond me. Lets be honest these girls raped hundred times, passed around like piece of meat gone through so much trauma that they will never be able to lead normal life.

In case of priests molesting boys in Poland - it was covered up by church dignitary not Social Services or Police.

In some way it shows very unpleasant side of British Society ....people so frightened of confrontation/racism accusation that they prefer to brush problem under carpet.

@SigSauer

This situation is getting dangerous and extreme. As you said 'facts become racist' and the easiest way is ( instead of dealing with it) to brush problem under the blanket and pretend it does not exist any more....

I think that as a result of it from normal people who want to preserve their culture but also far right will grow in Europe and it will turn nasty.

Example of ridiculous .....

Or the fact that they allowed a Paki sex ring to operate for years in Rotheram

.....and police ,social services knew about it but did nothing for years frightened to be accused of racism. When you think about it how many young girls were hurt and their life is broken now I would say that this disgust me more than Britain First actions.

@rozumiemnic

do you really think that? are you broken?

It is your decision - you give them passport/ permission to stay not some magical tooth-fairy. Yes we have completely different history and I don't judge you. UK with colonial past will always have strong ties with commonwealth countries.In my personal view people from India bring many positives to UK. Lots of them are specialists in IT, businessmen, doctors... plus ( in spite of colonial past) they are loyal to your country....as for Pakistanis....it 's different story I am afraid.

Yes I have been to Wembley - a lot of people live there from the old colonies - so what?

Theoretically nothing- except the fact that some areas on London are replaced with people from previous colonies....hardly to find ingenious folks...but your country your decision.

@Ironside

Yes and No- it was small group and they could be racist idiots or they could be provocateurs but I don't think that we want to be seen abroad as Nazi-racist country. The problem is that papers and liberal 'progressives' look for sensation and blow it our of proportion.

Propaganda is spread by lefties but unfortunately average person who knows very little about Poland would believe in it and it is wrong.

@SigSauer

I think that there are few aspects in it:

- one is that ' over the top dramatic news' sell well so most papers had to exaggerate on news.
- political correctness brainwashed people and killed logical thinking

but

lets be honest. There was small group of people with racist/nasty signs...there was no need for it. Without them it would be just pleasant, patriotic march. With them everything was twisted by 'liberals'.

I thought that I read somewhere that we were to sue this idiot from Brussel who said about '60 000 Nazis marching'- and I think we should as it was just twisted news.

He is obsessed with savings.
I am not sure what is the difference between expat and emigrant ? I am probably in the second group but most expats/emigrants want to have relatively decent life and unless they want to settle for longer in foreign land and buy house/flat ( save for deposit) I don't think they are so obsessed with savings. Some of them have probably already houses in their native countries .....

I think that our opinions are influenced by our upbringing but also by our education, environment so they can change with time.I don't think that many people are 100% conservative or liberal it is usually mixture.

I am weird cross between conservative and green :-)

I agree with you on judges stance.

Yes- all this ban on Sunday trade is very bad decision and will affect our economy- especially in the big touristic towns ( like Krakow I come from)

Propose on ban on ritual slaughter and fur animal farm I am 100 for it !!!. I am against cruelty towards animals.

But all this unpleasant attitude of PIS towards In vitro- ??? What is wrong with it? It is the best way to get pregnant for woman who can't get in natural way.

Again - all these black marches for abortion....I am for abortion if pregnancy was a result of rape of there is risk that mother dies or child will be highly disabled.....but in UK there are some reckless women who just sleep around without contraception and they treat abortion as contraception- I find it just disgusting.So I think lots of these issues depends on context.

But I suppose what is positive about PIS they try to be 'socialist' and improve life of 'average Kowalski'. Unfortunately some of these changes will probably backfire- like reducing retirement age.....People live longer now....there is no enough money in the ZUS pot so I am afraid it will go up soon.

of

Because I don't live in Poland I Iook at it from more objective perspective. Ha,ha and I don't have polish tv so no media brainwashing.... I don't always agree with things that some of PIS people say and let's be honest they don't have the best diplomatic skills but in the bigger scale they try to be loyal to their country and people.

a quote from Kaczyński you probably heard misinterpreted: - W Polsce jest taka fatalna tradycja zdrady narodowej. (...)- In Poland there is this nasty tradition of national treason (...)

And I don't understand it? Once we can be brave, patriotic, fighting for your country and then.....people like this. It is like chicken fall out with his chicken mates and runs to fox for help. Idiocy- but apparently they are well educated and progressive and PIS is uneducated and backward.

@Maciek_G

That is what I thought....I think DomonicB has some strong 'economic anti polish' conviction. I don't quite understand it. I don't think that expats can save so much because they have to live somewhere (rent house/flat) and it takes big chunk of income. Not different from someone living in UK, France, Germany who moved out from parents house and has to rent.

Now I'm not saying that the other lot, that is PO, are much better than PIS.

I am surprised you wrote it....Ok, Kaczynski is deluded little man who is power hungry....PIS is overly orientated towards Catholic church but!!!! There is one thing which PO did which is unforgivable- running like little nasty backstabber to Brussel and report against your own country, government? Which other country does things like this?

I live in UK and people like Farage or Corbyn or Theresa May -they come from different political parties. They can be nasty to each other in parliament, press conferences but outside UK they always stick for their own country.. So sorry but PO or KOD....they are just nasty, selfish traitors for me ( and I guess more people in Poland).

I think government had some legislation to reduce it and pollution is not the same everywhere. Centre is the worst - outskirts especially south of Krakow is not so bad

@DominicB

You are right it is not much - it is just normal salary to survive. Sometimes choice depends on fact how is job market in your own country ( on special field)plus language barrier. To be honest saving potential... it is very vague subject- people lead very different lifestyles so saving potential depends on it too. I think lots ( families or even single people) on overage salaries don't save anything even they live in their own countries in west Europe now.

I have been living and working in UK for 15 but from my observation prices are going up in Poland and they will be as minimum wage goes up too but also salaries in bigger cities are catching up with west Europe...slowly but they are catching up.Especially in Krakow there are lots back offices are created for big Companies.

Looking how much properties are built and sold in Krakow every year

ft.com/content/1df9e49c-a153-11e4-8d19-00144feab7de

looking at some of these prices...

otodom.pl/oferta/wyjatkowy-apartament-na-ostatnim-pietrze-ID3lYu0.html#gallery
otodom.pl/oferta/mieszkanie-256-m-krakow-ID3nGiv.html#gallery

It appears to me that earning potential is growing in Krakow.

@DominicB

It is lots of theoretical information. For me is more understandable to compare bare numbers.

>>>Very few workers from the richer countries of western Europe, for example, would even consider working in Poland. The downgrade in savings potential would be staggering>>>

They do but mainly for high paid managerial position. No one will move for less paid job and with huge language barrier...

I live in UK co I can only compare these 2 countries average salary in UK is around 26-27 K per year so it is around 8 000 zl. Without going into details basic food is in similar prices but restaurants, services, rents, properties...it .is much more expensive in UK. So I think by earning 8000 in UK and 5000 in Poland you can have relatively similar lifestyle. Unfortunately it is very general assumption as rent/property prices in Cambridge/London are very different from prices in some small town in north. The same in Poland Warsaw/Krakow or ...Tarnow. Plus average salaries again - it can be average of 60K in London and 20K Peterborough.

Plus no offence but as for today I am not sure Portugal comparing to Poland shows so much more work opportunities.

The cost of living is very high in Poland compared to wages.

I don't think that I quite agree with your statement....It is very generalized opinion based on what exactly?
