UK, Ireland / Do Poles in the UK pretend to be uppity because they have an inferiority complex? [60]

They're certainly a breed apart from the other Europeans..

Polski Sklep everywhere
They MUST drink Polish beer
They MUST visit a Polish dentist.

Read their forums, you'll find requests for Polish EVERYTHING

Check this weirdo out.

mojawyspa.co.uk/forum/35/45321/Sklep-komputerowy-w-Cardiff

He needs a Polish Computer Shop in Cardiff :D

UK, Ireland / What does English sound like to the Poles? [30]

Sorry to say but most Polish/Slavic/Russian languages sounds "ugly".

Slurring and slushing their way through every "s" sound available. Never heard something so unglamorous in my life.
Reminds me of Orcish or Klingon :D

German sounds quite aggressive but listen-able.

French sounds nice, cultured and very easy on the ear.

Italian sounds nice and musical!

What does English sound like to the foreigners? :D

Australia / Poles invaded the wrong Anglo-Saxon country [29]

Australia is an absolutely fantastic place, good vibe around the towns and cities. Low crime, affluent & jobs aplenty This is down to their very strict immigration.

99.99999% are Australian or Anglo/Irish origin people. Same language, same culture.
Even if we want a 1 year working holiday visa we still need to have around £5000 in the bank.

Look at the state of our (UK) cities and some towns, beggars and undesirables from every corner of the planet infest our land from top to bottom grabbing what they can.

When this country finally succumbs to the waves and waves of Pakistani/Polish/Lithuanian/Romanians/Somalians (The list is endless) flooding here for a "better life", we will be looking very affectionately at our sister nations and beg them to take us :D

They want Brits and Irish people.

Not Eastern European peasants who are incredibly foreign and will start building "Polski Sklep" everywhere.

History / WWII - Battle of Britain and Poles [104]

Sure, everyone was important!

The Poles were not fighting for Britain, they ran away from Poland, wanted revenge and we gave them planes.
Win Win scenario.

I'd have more respect for the Americans and Canadian volunteers that came across the Atlantic to help.

History / WWII - Battle of Britain and Poles [104]

The Poles absolutely LOVE their 303 Squadron. Talking about it at any opportunity.

Quite funny to be honest.

Over 16,000,000 Allied dead people and the Poles keep banging on about about 100 Polish pilots who helped in the BoB alongside the British and other nationalities :D

Laughable really. Talking about these men as if they're some kind of demi-gods who won the war for everyone disrespects them and yourselves.

UK, Ireland / Why can't unemployed Polish people on benefits just leave UK and go home please? [240]

The Romanians and Bulgarians will be coming for their piece of the pie next year.

Yet another wave of needy beggers, losers, scroungers and single mothers all heading west.
They're even poorer than Poland!

Expect this bunch to have the same bunch of nationalistic, patriotic traits that the Poles have.

Romanian Sklep popping up everywhere with their wonderful tinned fish paste and pickled cabbage they can't live without :)

UK, Ireland / Polonization of Britain - Tipping Point Confirmed in 2011 Census [97]

What an incredibly deluded, ignorant and misinformed view you have on the Polish tsunami in the UK.

let me guess.. you're Polish?
Or you're British with the good fortune to have and a few good Polish friends or have a Polish girlfriend?

Things are getting desperate when you're resorting to discussing events that happened in 1190.

POLSKA STRONG!!
303 SQUADRON SAVE ENGLAND FROM GERMANS!!
POLISH DESERVE BENEFITS BECAUSE THEY SAVED ENGLAND FROM WAR - 303 SQUADRONZZZZZZZZZZZ

UK, Ireland / Polonization of Britain - Tipping Point Confirmed in 2011 Census [97]

The average cross-section of a British person in our own country is a middle class worker who spends most of his money in the UK, eventually marrying, having two children & buying a house. Probably claiming Child Benefit for 2 kids.

The average cross-section of a Polish immigrant is someone who comes here primarily with money on the brain, living 10 in a house to save money on rent, working low-income wages thus getting tax credits, council housing and every other goody in the book. Having an increased tenancy to have children.

Shopping at European Delicatessen
Sending money out of the country (3Billion last year)
Needing taxpayer funded translation services

Poland should be incredibly greatfull to the British goverment.

Not only are we a donor state pumping BILLIONS into the A8 nations.. we're also feeding hundreds of thousands of needy Poles.

Even the "Hard working" ones make no considerable net contribution to our country.
If they have children, you can be sure they'll be taking tax credit topups as well as other goodies.
Many are now in council housing.

I'd hazard a guess - very very few Polish immigrants are making a contribution to our country.
They're breeding more than the British, and even the Muslims. What does that tell you?

It's not the taking of jobs. the crime or the huge welfare bill that's the biggest issue in my mind.

It's their lack of integration. The sheer amount of them flooding in facilitates the "Little Poland".
There's been an increasing in Polish services to service this community.

They're setting up Polish schools for their children.. Why can't their children grow up to be British?
If they're so fiercely proud of being Polish, why don't they stay there? Reminds me of the Muslims and their "Schools"

Why can't they adapt to their new

In some regards they're actually WORSE than a third-worlder.
At least i can go and have a friendly chat with the Indian guy in the newsagents, or the Turkish guys at the local takeaway.

Try getting anything other than "Take your change", "What do you want" from Mrs Malgorzata from the local 'Sklep'.

The only British things they're interested in is our Welfare Benefits, Social Housing and Free healthcare.

Genealogy / Polish looks? [1462]

A lot of Polish ladies have taken a fancy to the Turks and the Pakistanis in the UK it seems.

My friends neighbour is a Pakistani/Polish couple.
I've seen a few couple out and about as well.

News / Predictions about Poland for 2013 [85]

I think population figures are hugely underestimated in Britain.

600,000 in England and Wales?? Seriously?
These kind of figures are the same that were floating around in 2007.

People estimate there's 200,000 Polish in Dublin.. What does that tell you?

2-3 Million in the UK

British kids wear backpacks in groups as well.

Going swimming/football at the weekend?
School trip?

I think most of this thread is complete ********.
I've never looked at another Polish, or European person and thought.. he looks typically Polish or French or whatever.

I look at those two photos and to me they could just as easily be photos of a British football team/kids after adding a couple of brown-skinned "vibrants" of course!

Life / Polish vs British vs American - Clash of cultures [390]

Breeding Immigrants
Welfare Tourism
Incompetent foreign Doctors and Nurses

A system primarily designed to serve the British nation is now being bled dry by people from all over the world.
You can't expect a perfect service anymore.

It appears to be a huge part of the Polish mentality to cherry pick things to justify their arguments. They always seem to be on the defensive, an attack on Poland is a personal attack on them etc.

Weird.

People from Poland pay taxes and keep English people in Benefits.
303 Squadron saved England from speaking German now.
Our food tastes crap and we all eat microwave meals.
Polish lady is very very beautiful and English people are ugly.

Just a few of the interesting facts you'll hear from a Polish person - more often than not, sitting behind a .co.uk IP address

Nothing. I'm just making a mockery of you people saying that a certain set of features can be attributed to a European country.

I've been all over Europe and people look the same. Some ugly, some ok, some stunners

I've observed 2 types of Pole in the UK.

The educated type, who speaks good English, well dressed and mingles with British friends and enjoys being in another country.
The same as any French, German, Spanish immigrant in this country basically.

Then there's the "kurwa kurwa" type.
Dresses like an Adidas advert from the 1980s. Speaks loudly in their native language. Shops at "European Delicatessen" because obviously carrots grown in Poland taste oh so much nicer :D

Hangs around local parks in gangs drinking foreign label beer kicking the flowers and destroying things.
Basic or no English. Adverse to out of work friendships with British people - You'll never see them down he local pub.

UK, Ireland / I'm from a small town in the UK and I think Poland is a nation of criminals [37]

Some of you people need to familiarise yourselves with a concept called statistics.
The Poles are hitting well above their weight in crime. In fact I'd go as far as to say that they're PROLIFIC offenders.

If you're a Pole in the UK you're more likely to commit crime. Fact.
The Romanians and Lithuanians are not far behind.

Thanks for the answers.

Uk residents are also well known for this type of activity abroad

I think you're trying to make a direct comparison between drunken tourist idiots abroad, and permanent settlers who are here to benefit from our country.

People who emigrate from the UK are usually skilled professionals who qualify for green cards or visas to the States or Australia. These people are usually from higher up in the social hierarchy.

If you're a mindless hobo in he UK, you're best of staying in the UK to take benefits and housing.
If you're a mindless hobo in Poland, you're best of coming to the UK to take benefits and housing.
