Work / Paid holidays in Poland: how many days, any holidays during probation period,...? [3]

Hi,

As far as I know, normally holiday duration in Poland is 20 working days but if you have more than 10 years of working experience, you get 26 days.

Can you please help me to understand how these 10 years are counted? Is studying included in it? In case of foreigner, does the company accept experience gained outside Poland?

I had 12 years of school, 5 years of university and 4 years of working, none in Poland. Would I be entitled to get 26 days?

Also, once you start working, are you allowed to take any holidays during the probation period? (by the way, how long is it?)

Is there anything else that I should know about holidays in Poland?

Thanks,

Work / How to find a job in PoznaƄ? I have Msc in management and speak English/Hungarian/French [9]

Szia Kepler,
I do not know what working experience you have, but i think it is possible to find a job with Hungarian language skills in Poland. Fortunately some international companies (mainly shared service centers) are looking for Hu speaking people and don’t require any polish skills.

Please let me share some tips (you may accept it or may not :))
I would suggest:
• to google "praca poznan hungarian"
• to investigate which international companies are located in Poznan and check open job offers on their websites. Sending you a list might be useful for this:

outsourcingportal.eu/news,bpo-ssc-sector-in-poland,,,3,1.html
• to check the websites of recruiting companies (for example Hays)
• to check pracuj.pl; praca.pl; cvonline.pl and similar websites
• Also, if i were you, i'd appload my CV on above listed websites, maybe someone will contact you

Good luck/sok sikert!
