I guess it's a really good new that Polish people are more and more happy with their living conditions. We've been always considered as a pretty pesimistic nation I guess.. really like these new tendency.

Language / What does 'gon sie' mean? [21]

I wouldn't say it has as stron meaning as f*** off does, it's more like "screw you" or something...

Life / Multiracial Poles [154]

I guess the mix of races is always an interesting thing, and I as a Pole have against that, I think it makes the world a more divers place since there are no borders and prejudices present these days and it's definitely a good thing.

Love / Is it common for a Polish woman to date multiple men at the same time? [46]

Well I don't really think that it could be a common Polish feature to be dating a couple of guys at the same time. It depends on the woman, or rather on the person I'd say as it happens among guys as well. As for me it's simply unfair and if she does things like that then you should just forget about her, because she's not worth your time and effort.

Study / Go on ERASMUS in Warsawa or Krakow? [6]

As I'm studying in Warsaw, I can honestly recommend chosing the current capital instead of Cracow. It's a perfect city for students with excellent nightlife and it offers more possibilities to my mind. There are many Erasmus students here, so the environment is perfect. :) But I'm not saying that Cracow is a wrong choice, I would just go for Warsaw if I were you. ;) I guess you would be glad with both options.

Genealogy / Being ashamed of Polish ancestry? [156]

To be honest I don't understand why anyone would happen to be ashamed of Polish roots, if it does happen, then I feel sorry for these people...

Love / E-marriage - how successful among Poles? [21]

It sounds pretty sad that people nowadays are somehow forced to do online dating, I miss old good times when there was no Internet, only reality to deal with.

Travel / Kopernik Centre - worth visiting? [13]

There are always terrible lines up there, it's really annoying, during the weekends it's even worse, but you should see it, a really interesting experience worth waiting. :)

Travel / Polish travel game - questions [17]

It's always better to try than do nothing. ;) I think it's a really grat opportunity to get the tickets, in my case that would be a lifeline! Otherwise I'll be forced to stay in front of the TV. :(

Love / Met this gorgeous Polish lady [27]

I think that Polish girls are a bit more conservative and well-mannered than British ones and that's definitely a good thing, not mentioning the fact they're considered much prettier. :) In a nutshell being straightforward, sincere and spontaneous is a key to success in the contacts with other human beings, not only girls and it doesn't really depend on nationality. ;) Good luck!

Language / Having difficulties to speak in Polish... how to improve my speaking? [19]

Well I'm pretty sure that finding a native speaker is always the best solution in learning foreign languages, especially Polish with its relatively difficult pronunciation. You really should look on the Internet and chat via skype or something it will help you a lot, it's the most important thing to speak, even if it sounds terribly at first. Good luck!

Life / Why are Poles always so miserable? Why do they never smile? [512]

Merged: Polish mentality issue

Hey guys, I'm writing to share my sad reflexion considering Polish mentality. I really love my country and I'm proud of our heritage, history and I would never exchange it, but there is something that is bugging me. Every time I come back to Poland after travelling abroad I get this feeling that we, as a society, are so distrusful and suspicious in our relations with strangers. Sometimes I think that it's forbidden to smile on the street, because people will consider u crazy. What is wrong with us? Do you share my observation?
