Life / Do Polish people have a good ear for music? [91]

This means that even though there is (or used to be) some good stuff around many Polish people wouldn't listen

Unfortunately because of the comunism in Poland for so many years we were looing up to Americans and English people that now we have a thinking way like this: "Most of things that come from our country are worse that the ones coming from the West of Europe/America"

Unfortunately, the Polish attitude to music is "it's good if I can sing along with a bellyful of vodka in me"

Thats quite harsh on us... These bands are way better than Doda and stuff like that, they have something to say in their lyrics and thats good (Talking about Lady Pank and Strachy na Lachy). Recently most of famous Polish musicians are copying after artists from overseas and we have a huge mainstream.

There are some non conformist radiostations but partialy they are connected with church and stuff so no all of you might like it or the coverage is not countrywide, but for instance radio Em has a good music playing as there is not a collection of most popular songs setted up for a whole month but the guy who is making the choice of music is changing the collection everyday and plays some really good songs, but unfortunately not all Polish.
