Life / Polish Werewolves [30]

The Poles have their were-wolves, which rage twice in the year--at Christmas and at midsummer.

I'm not too well up on the original legend but in urban areas of south wales there are Polish men who turn into werewolves about every couple of months, this usually has to do with a clear alcoholic spirit and a lot of daft men! They often have painful after effects from this experience and wonder around the house next day crying 'moja głowa boli'

'Ja jestem tak głupi' poor dears must be awful to have such an affliction through no fault of their own!!!!!

Love / How many Polish men are Violent how much is domestic abuse reported. [129]

Domestic violence is a problem amongst all nationalities, and it shouldn't be accepted from either gender!
I haven't heard of much violence towards women amongst the local poles, but i suppose what there is, is hidden.
I have however seen some appalling things done to the men by some of the heavy drinking women.
I think people of both sexes need to be taught that violence is unacceptable and that in some cases it can be fuelled by alcohol!

Infact most of the problems I have seen in the polish community have been down to alcohol!

Love / Are polish women competative about men? [20]

I have found 45+ the women are very pleasant and down to earth, the very young ones seem nice too, some of the 25-45 group are hard work at times they only seem interested in superficial stuff but maybe I don't make enough effort.

God damn these stupid threads. STOP GENERALIZING. For fucks sake. Some Polish women are competitive, some are not. Same like all women.

Must be fustrating to read these threads but some of us are just learning about the culture/people and its the one place we can ask daft questions without offending individuals we know personally.

Law / Benefit entitlement in Poland for foreigners [37]

it's for food and heating for people who have nothing.

Well said!
Either save more money or work in Poland Miss Austrailia! No one has the right to expect any government to subsidise your 'world tour'
There are plenty of us doing nasty distressing jobs for peanuts who can't even afford a holiday in Poland let alone spend a couple of years bumming around Poland!

Try doing something useful, there's plenty of voluntary work needs doing in Africa, south America and other places, you'll see the world and meet some decent people!

Can't imagine any other women doing this!!!!! Could explain why Polish women are very popular but these women must be a minority in any country!

Love / Are polish women competative about men? [20]

Anyway what I noticed when you have one of them it is highly likely that her gfs will offer themselves to you with or without her consent if you manage to create a decent reputation

You're kidding me??? That is seriously not nice from any nationality!

I doubt my wife (Polka) would only blame the woman were I to stray....

Pleased to hear some common sense!

I'm not gonna alter my body by adding dupa implants just to please him.

Dupa implants owww!! Good for you, no man is worth going under the knife for!

Love / Are polish women competative about men? [20]

Recently observed a rather heated row between two polish ladies at a social gathering, one lady accused the other of trying to sleep with her boyfriend (unlikely, he's not pretty!)

Row was sorted and lady plus boyfriend left (him looking very smug) other lady plus her own bloke left shortly after.

This left me as the only female, all the men then chattered on about how fierce polish women are about their men and how they'd all but murder any woman who looked at man they liked!!! They would never blame the man only the woman????? Is there any truth in what the men were saying or was it just a load of vodka fuelled fantasy ???

Love / Do Polish men make good husbands? [106]

don't have any problems with the family, but this could be because his ex was Polish and cheated on him! Argues a lot wiv his family too by all accounts. Maybe they think more liberally about foreigners! They do seem quite open minded people by nature.

And remember that to Polish women, anything you do that is in the tiniest bit different to them will be seen as outrageous behaviour. Not to be tolerated. And they will want to rescue their own from your evil (or inept) clutches.

My main arguments are over a particular group of friends, mainly male but with a couple of female hangers on, this lot are heavy drinkers and don't work much, I know they think I've got him under the thumb, but I don.t think he's so keen on them anymore now he's got a stable partnership, he tends to gravitate more towards family people now or non drinkers, but this is his choice, though if he has the odd wild night with them it does tend to make me cross as he usually forgets to ring if he's out late with them.

The two females are quite nasty about me even though I've helped them a couple of times. His non heay drinking friends are fine and have actively encouraged the relationship, I'm quite good friends independently with one of the wives! Your quote neatly sums up what his heavy drinking mates attitude.

Love / Do Polish men make good husbands? [106]

Thanx for all the views, interesting reading!!!!!!

they think women can't drive cars, can't do construction work, can't ride motorcycles and they have an opinion that women should do other stuff and leave cars and mechanical stuff to men,

Tend to agree here, the b/f does seem to think that men are genetically programmed to do these things in a superior way, which is annoying becos I enjoy electrical/electronic repairs!

like to be good providers and always take the garbage out,

very true in my B/F's case

Have in mind: Rewards are more efficient!!!!, but sometimes we simply cannot avoid some punishments.

So far the rewards do work better!!!! Polish men do seem stubborn!!!

As everywhere, it takes two or sometimes three to make one decent. :)

I'm probably being thick but I did not quite get that???? please elaborate it sounds intriguing

!

Poles making good husbands? The good ones are good; the bad ones are bad, like everywhere. If you can assert your position over the mother-in-law, you should be alright.

My potential mother in law seems very nice so far ?
though the rest of the quote is very true probably!

Don't want to rush into anything although he is wonderful!

moment

He was extremely jelous if I talked to another guy or if someone called me

Don't have any problems with this at moment, B/F never minds me going out with my friends.

What i do find a bit odd is that quite a few polish men in the local area seem to have a 'good girl/bad girl' attutude to women.

Where there are groups of men drinking together there are often one or two women who hang around but are never invited back
to the family homes, quite the opposite, the men certainly don't appear to be 'playing away from home' but there just seems some sort of

line drawn as to which women are acceptable to invite to meet the family.
B/F never really explains this one, just says 'some women are okay to have a drink and laugh with but you'd never want to be alone with them

or take them in your house/meet the family'
Not sure i like that attitude, even though it doesn't affect me personally!
