Life / Stereotypes about Polish people being stupid? [281]

Why don't you make some jokes about Russians? You seem like an anti-semitic Russian who uses Polish forums to bash the Jewish people.Delphiadomine says your Russian.

You are absolutely correct...I am actually Russian...And yes, I hate Jews, but yet I don't hate them enough for your taste...Yes, they made 'All in the Family', which caused irreparable harm to the Polish nation...Yes, 'DelphiaDomine' one of the resident forum geniuses is absolutely correct in her/his assessments.

Yes, I need to find some good Russian jokes, this way I will further my psyops and further disguise my Russian heritage.

Blacks?...I am friends with many, and encourage them to laugh at themselves, as it is healthy...I don't call them niggers, as they would take offense, and in any case, they call themselves niggers all the time...I don't call Jews 'kikes' either, as this would hurt their feelings...You can make a joke without hurting someone.

Did you hear the one about the Iraqi rocket attack on the Polish army barracks in Baghdad?

It seems an insurgent missile hit the Polish barracks and knocked out the lone light bulb.

Not to worry, as the commander, Colonel Kosinski was thinking on his feet...He gathered all the flashlights on the base, and set up a pathway to the kitchen sink...This way, if any of the soldiers had to relieve themselves, they would have a lighted pathway until the generator was fixed.

News / Multi-culti (in Poland) -- roadmap to disaster? [344]

1...Is there some target quota of foreign-born in a given country that should more or less be adhered to in order to avoid major problems?
2...Can immirgants be allowed to form insular communities (ghettos) without learning the host country's language and ways?
3...Should they be given the same rights and privileges (social benefits, education, healthcare, etc.) as taxpayers who are bankrolling the system?

1...Yes
2...This can't be prevented unless you lock them up where they will do the same thing, but native language should be a requirement for employment and services.

3...Only to a degree

USA, Canada / Why are Polish restaurants not successful in the USA? [698]

Compared to Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and many other ethnic restaurants, Polish restaurants are relatively unknown. Why is this?

In Philadelphia, the few Polish restaurants have a rather dreary ambience, restricted hours for business, and a general lack of imagination/enthusiasm...They are too conservative when reaching out to a larger population.

In Chicago where there are millions of Poles, the Polish restaurants are thriving

Quite true, as there is generally much more energy in the Polish community there.

Food / Do Polish restaurants use dead dogs fat as a delicacy for you to eat? [41]

Two women are on trial over a few dozen jars of "smalec", a Polish spread used like butter made of animal fat, which they allegedly made and advertised as "healing dog lard".

This would be a promising luxury export product to certain Asian countries.

Listen, Polish cuisine is excellent, it just has to be promoted properly, meaning the restaurant owner must be committed to serving the public in a tasteful and courteous manner...Couple of the joints in Philadelphia don't even keep evening hours, so of course, how can you eat there?

The place in Chicago, what is it 'Smulasz', hell, the menu looks great: I would eat there once a week for sure...You can get a drink there,too...You want some kinda 'fusion cuisine' made by a hyper fag and a staff ready to have a nervous breakdown, don't go to a Polish joint.

Here's one place in Philly that is right downtown, keeps regular evening hours and has very good food:

USA, Canada / Polish-American mutilation of the Polish language [75]

I notice a tendency on the part of PF posters to suffer from any identity crisis...The very same posters who criticize 'diaspora' Poles for imagined 'impurities' in matters of language and culture become outraged when any Polish nationalistic sentiments are expressed, whether by Poles in Poland or abroad, as this is considered reactionary thinking...We have here what is called a 'disconnect'...You wish to move toward a diverse or 'post ethnic' society, yet have an authoritarian attitude with those with whom you don't see eye to eye with.

In the matter of grandma, both of mine were referred to as babca or babci, and the one on my mother's side was a real pip, however she was referred to.

Polish food is not boring at all: in the US, however, it has not been mass marketed, so people aren't as familiar with gołumbek as they are with lo mein or pizza...But this is not necessarily a bad thing...Preparation, presentation and quality ingredients are of primary importance.

The church is located nearby, in Yorba Linda, California.

Yorba Linda was Richard Nixon's home town.

Feedback / Why are there so many on here, who do not like Poland [150]

Why are there so many on here, who do not like Poland, and of the many, many of those have never even been to Poland. If you don't have anything good to say, of Poland, and her people, don't say anything.

It is because they don't like themselves.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2823]

The top ten percent paid seventy percent of federal income taxes. Forty-nine percent of U.S. households paid no federal income tax at all.

Here's a look at individual tax rates and shares by income in 2007, the most recent data available from the Internal Revenue Service:

The top 1 percent: Americans who earned an adjusted gross income of $410,096 or more accounted for 22.8 percent of all wages. But they paid 40.4 percent of total reported income taxes, an increase from 39.9 percent in 2006, according to the IRS.

The top 5 percent: Americans who earned $160,041 or more accounted for 37.4 percent of all wages in 2007. But they paid 60.6 percent of the country's total reported income taxes, up from 60.1 percent a year earlier.

The top 10 percent: Americans who earned at least $113,018 paid 71.2 percent of the nation's income taxes, up from 70.8 percent a year earlier.

The top 25 percent: Americans who earned at least $66,532 paid 86.6 percent of the nation's income taxes, up from 86.3 percent a year earlier.

The top 50 percent: Americans who earned at least $32,879 paid 97.1 percent of the nation's income taxes, up from 97 percent a year earlier.

The bottom 50 percent: Americans who earned less than $32,879 paid 2.9 percent of the nation's income taxes, down from 3 percent a year earlier.

Also notice that those listed in the top bracket here can in no way be viewed as 'super rich' or anything resembling it...There is a 'super rich' category, but you won't find these listed on any IRS tab-sheet.

usgovinfo.about.com/od/incometaxandtheirs/a/who-pays-most-income-tax.htm

But other factors must be taken into consideration here, as these are individual tax rates/percentages as reported by IRS:

We also have numerous state and local sales taxes;

We have various government licensing fees, from cost to register a car, to cost of business/vending licenses/permits...These are a form of tax.

We have various inflations/deflations of the purchasing value of the US dollar, another form of tax.

Interest rates on loans, another form of tax.

Cost of waging foreign wars, an extremely exhorbitant form of tax.

In addition, corporate/financial entities have the use of extremely sophisticated 'instruments' to hide/move and even create money...Whether one would consider such instruments a form of taxation on the working population or simply a form of extortion/larceny/counterfeiting is simply a rhetorical question.

Back to guns. IMHO, an individual law abiding citizen has the right to own a firearm for self protection and sporting purposes...Criminals will own firearms in any case...Common sense would dictate that a gun owner should have instruction in the proper handling, maintenance and storage of said firearms.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Communism collapsed of it's own weight, because it was a failed construct.

Beside, the international bankers who created it were moving to a more efficient way to enrich themselves called globalism.

News / Nigel Farage voice of reason for Poland and EU? [79]

youtube.com/watch?v=aI79ClhwAhM, here he is on Polish tv. The interview is in English with no subtitles.

I was impressed with this interview; very common sense...He supports sovereign states and decision making...Reading this forum sometimes it seems as if people crave someone to give them orders.

News / Nigel Farage voice of reason for Poland and EU? [79]

But you do realise that the whole point of the EU was to bring the States so close together that they could never again fight each other in a bloody war?

If you believe that, I have some nice beachfront property in Arizona to sell you...Quite nice....You can surf there, too.

The ******** who allowed and perpetrated WWI & II are the same as the Euro bureaucrats, only they are called globalists or whatever now...I think the European peoples themselves oppose any more bloody wars, just as they did back in the day...It is unaccountable leaders, their ideologues and bankers who are the driving force behind war...Of course, they cry crocodile tears when the flow of blood and the stench of bodies gets to be too much.

News / Nigel Farage voice of reason for Poland and EU? [79]

It's on the ropes, is what it is...In the globalist mentality, all nationalism (except for Zionism) is bad, because it supposedly leads to wars...The mass media, MSM, constantly sings the globalist tune, and nationalist movements are shunted to the side, or described as 'extreme right wing'...This is a distortion, because there is a difference between nationalism and fascism...While co-operative initiatives between sovereign states is desirable, decision making by an unelected elite, serving the rich ruling classes, is not.

Unfortunately, consumerism and television have led to a weakening of the thought process on the part of the masses of people.

News / Nigel Farage voice of reason for Poland and EU? [79]

I have nothing against the type of globalism that refers to, say, 'technology makes the world smaller' or even Hillary Clinton's 'it takes a village', but my problem lies when things get too big...Mankind has a lot of big dreams, but they inevitably get out of hand, whereas I feel that most problems can be addressed on a smaller scale with better results...As Farage correctly points out, the bureaucrats in Brussels are extremely well paid, but who do they represent?...And the heads of the Euro commission are all unelected.

The United States of America.

Ho, ho!...Obama is just a caretaker for the Jews and the multi-nats.

Probably the most prosperous country in Africa under Black rule is Ghana...The rest have a level of corruption that make Washington DC and Brussels look like paradise.

In fact, a place like Lagos would probably make Detroit MI look like paradise!

The 'Polish food problem' is simply a matter of exposure and publicity...The Food Channel in the USA has a very entertaining program called 'Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives' which covers the US in search for down home style eateries serving up both traditional American and various ethnic foods at reasonable prices...Recently featured were two Polish restaurants, one in Dallas and one in LA...Both were extremely successful...Suggestions for the restaurants are sent in by viewers of the program.

News / Multi-culti (in Poland) -- roadmap to disaster? [344]

I'm sorry Joe, but I don't see what your point is?

My point is simple: Nigeria is referred to by many Nigerians as a failed country...Especially in the urban areas, it exists in a state of chaos...Nigeria brings in billions in oil money, yet in big cities like Lagos, you don't have electricity for good parts of the 24 hour period.

Black Africa supplies many of the legal and illegal immigrants to Europe...If they cannot produce or maintain a functioning infrastructure of government in their own country, you want them here?...Better if they fought to make their own country functional...But that is too difficult, so they come here, where Europeans have already done the hardest work, and import problems.

If you cannot understand my point, I would recommend you live in a predominantly Black neighborhood, as I have done for a large part of my adult life, and actually gain some first hand experience with culture...Perhaps place your family in this type of environment.

This is not to suggest that darker skinned people do not have the capacity to make a contribution to a civilized society, because, even in Nigeria, you have millions of highly educated people...But as I suggested to another poster, name one country in Black Africa that is equal even to a bottom rung country in Europe.

Multi-culturalism, as currently defined by our simple minded and hypocritical social engineers, is a disaster for any country...As a famous Pole once said 'A little salt flavors the soup, but too much makes it unpalatable'...Same with immigration.

Joe you never fail to scrape that barrel.

Because liberals leave the barrel cleaning that must be done to 'people like me'...They 'don't wish to get their hands dirty'.

Polka in LA

Great clip, and great food...I have two Polish restaurants about 5 minutes from where I work, and the food is quite good, BUT THEY KEEP EARLY HOURS!...They're not open for dinner!...They still do a decent business, as one is also a good sized market, but if they had management that was more committed, they would do great...Once people try good Polish cooking, they LIKE IT!

I also have a produce market, operated by a BelaRussian, about a block away, and they have many imported Polish items like the aforementioned Vegeta, they have beet salads, Hungarian vegetable salad, Polish cheese & butter, and many juices from Poland and the Ukraine (also a brand of Polish pasta that is quite good quality)...They do very well with everyone from Eastern Europeans to African-Americans to Latinos.
