Food / Polish name for cut of beef [29]

I ask because my wife and her mom made them from a lean cut and she said they were very dry and awful and I am going to prepare some for them when I go there in a week or so. I never cooked them in a pan, only over a fire grill

Yes the hanging definitely tenderizes the meat by stretching and enzyme activity. I do the same thing when I shoot deer hunting

Ok. So if I want to buy something which will have 20% fat what should we get and is it better to but minced already or do yourself? My wife's mom has the grinder. Thanks

USA, Canada / Polish citizen getting drivers license in United States [21]

Yes I am US citizen living all my life in Ohio, so I know all about our cops. They are not very polite here. I don't know about Poland, I have not met one yet. She is getting the international driving permit and I will make sure she keeps all of the required documents with her in the car

Food / Bary mleczne/milk bars in Poland [30]

We went to very nice one in Zakopane and prices were good and food was good. My wife always talked about them, her and her mom would always go there.

Yes she can drive, but needs to take the exam and will do it, but was wondering if it is OK to drive on Polish license while she studies for the test. I drive on US license when I am in Poland

Love / American marrying Polish woman in Poland - Church problems [79]

I would donate, but she refuses.
The thing that pisses me off is that they said it was ok at beginning and we went through whole application etc... . then they say no after we send invitations etc.....

I never said I was unwilling to be baptized, it just wont be possible in this time frame and I would have to have other things like confirmation, I am not opposed to it. Also I already agreed on this application to respect her religion and have children baptized

Love / American marrying Polish woman in Poland - Church problems [79]

Maybe in the future something can change but it appears this wedding at the end of June is not going to happen. I just wish they would have told us from the beginning before she sent invitations etc...

Oh well

Love / American marrying Polish woman in Poland - Church problems [79]

since u are already married is it not possible for your wife to wear white and u both simply repeat your wedding vows. or is this what u are doing ?

just asking.

Yes I suppose this is what we want to do, She lives now in Poland but will move here when immigration approves her. but I was just now going to the place here where I live for document showing it was only civil wedding previous to send them and she called me. They had some meeting in a court of the church and the decided it is impossible for us to be married in the church. Something about even if it was civil wedding, the fact that I am not baptized means no way it can be, I guess? Before they said it was OK for like one side wedding for her only. Apparently none of the bishop or people in the court could agree, some said yes it is OK and some said no, no way

They also say since she will live with me she can no longer take some sacraments in the church.
So her and her mom are sad and upset. So there is no reason to continue this discussion anymore.

Love / American marrying Polish woman in Poland - Church problems [79]

Well It is nice to see someone understanding my situation and not calling me names. It is exactly as you state Mafketis,
I think I can produce a marriage certificate from our vital statistics bureau to show it was not catholic, if you think that would help, but there is no such thing as a divorce document from the church possible here if it is not Catholic. So I just trying to understand how to solve the problem.

I am not catholic, she told me it would be like a one way wedding in Poland where she is married in the eyes of the church and I was not. It sounds strange, but I was told they do something like this. The divorce decree from the court is all I have to show I am not married.

When I say "do this to them", I mean first they said this document from the court was acceptable and now it is not. That is all I meant. If from the beginning they said there is a problem and she did not make all of these plans I would understand

I told my wife this, that they want some donation, but she thinks of things in an ideal way and doesn't agree to it.

I just feel badly about it for her and her family after planning this wedding

I was married in an outdoors park by someone arranged by my previous wife. Here in US all is required is to be ordained which can not even have a connection to church

It was 17 years ago and I don't remember exact details, is that so hard to believe

And divorce takes place in court here, not church unless you are catholic I have divorce decree from court.

It was definitely not Catholic priest!

I am not a troll so a genuine retard I suppose. That's the thing I like about this forum, the people are so nice and polite

I was not married in Catholic church previously, it was only a civil wedding I believe. So if it was civil how can I prove divorce in church?

We are already married through a civil wedding and she is moving here, I don't care about this wedding for myself, it is for here and her family. It is a pity they would do this to them

I am confused, she is in Poland and she is talking directly to the priest herself. They told her at the beginning everything was ok, now they want this document that is not possible to produce.

Is this like a shakedown for money? It is funny I told her the same thing, how much $
Thanks for info, any additional info is appreciated

Love / American marrying Polish woman in Poland - Church problems [79]

I am currently married to a Polish woman through a civil wedding in the US. We are planning a church wedding in Poland this summer and everything was planned and the church said OK, but now they say there is a problem because the catholic church wants a proof of my divorce from previous wife in church. It was minister that was methodist or non denominational, or even only civil, I don't recall it was 17 years ago. But here in US we do not have divorce through church when church is not catholic, it is only through court. So what can I do?
