Life / Why is circumcision not practiced in Poland? [701]

the skin sheath covering the entire head of the shween?

Just in the interests of general preputial behaviour, when erect, this is not often the case.

There is generally partial (half or more even?) natural retraction.

In case anyone is interested that is.

Probably not.

Life / New trend in Poland - dogging. [29]

you maybe be gifted in socialising and be generally a very nice person but you have fallen into a false track of thinking, believing that all people are equal,

What has this got to do with anything??

you are not the brightest tool out of the drawer.

You have a habit of saying things like this when your semisensical ramblings and fondness for jumping to conclusions are questioned.

What's funny is, that I don't think I have seen one single post by you that hints at any level of intellingence.
Basically, you're the worst kind of fool - one who actually thinks he is clever for some strange reason.

Life / Do Polish people have a good ear for music? [90]

I'd have to strongly disagree "that Poles sing in tune more than most Brits". But what do I know.................

I wonder is it just a cultural thing? I would say Poles are a bit more reserved than the average Brit (or indeed Irish)

Many Brits/Irish will sing their heads off at the drop of a hat, regardless of actual talent. Poles might be a bit more cautious unless they are fairly confident that they can really sing? If so it could certainly seem that Poles are better singers.

Life / Poles - the Nation of Liars? [478]

I think the point here is that lying isn't inherent to Poles.

Of course. Jesus, 12 pages??

Well i dont exactly follow you and your threads around but that was my first memory of you posting on here, ok it wasnt food but it was virtually all negative. My (short) Polish expereinces - bad luck?

Yep, it was negative alright. Only my impression after two visits - as I admitted. You will also notice that the tone of the thread wasn't exactly "hammering" anything. I was hoping my experience was down to bad luck/bad companions/whatever. I thought the thread was relatively diplomatic, considering. Apologetic even. A few well-known posters agreed with me too by the way. I notice you didn't have much in the way of contradiction yourself either.

Yet now you evidently have a problem with the thread - but yet see nothing wrong in starting a thread suggesting that Poles are a nation of liars.

Therefore, hyprocrisy on your part.

Well this thread has been gathering steam again.

whats your point?

Simply that as well as having a selective memory you are something of a hyprocrite. Only a few days ago in a bizarre mini outburst you said to me:

You did come here though - hammering Polish food, that was why you came here i remember, and you just kind of hung around since.

I told you you remembered wrongly - but heard no more about it. What you said was simply untrue, a lie.

Yet lo and behold, here you are, the author of a thread about how Polish people lie.

Funny, that.

I could say that many Poles could feel rightfully offended by the OP's generalization.

Of course. Based on the Poles I know the opposite, complete honesty, is more accurate. Although I realise that this cannot be applied nationally either - like most things.

Wait a minute - this was started by Wroclaw Boy ??

That's interesting...

funny though that you find that offensive

Yes the thought of you eating anything is pretty offensive alright.

Although I doubt you'll be eating much in your local car park tonight by the sounds of it.

Ah OK, so it seems that the concept of dogging is new to Ironside. Bless.

Well, of course he's absolutely outraged and has probably already contacted his local priest - I-S is so reactionary that he probably thinks electricity is the devils work.

Then, he manages:

spud-eater

Which coming from a Pole is like a heroin addict calling a dope smoker a junkie.

...and then he starts accusing others of trolling. LOL

BTW you did know that the actor who played Ironside was gay didn't you I-S?

your world is a simple place, spud-eater !

...and your posts make much less sense than you seem to think they do. You can't just throw a handful of words together and assume they are articulate.

I suggest you brush up on your English.

Spud eater

oh my! oh help me I am sooo offended!

You really are an utter dick aren't you?

Food / British food products in Poland? [334]

Never tried it. Nice one.

Don't like mayo at all - especially the home made stuff so never really thought of trying this.

Maybe I'll give it a go

Just looked at the recipes/comments - a few look useful alright but some very offensive comments (!)

"It's mayo with vinegar and lemon juice"

Is it arse!

Bloody philistines.

salad cream.

My guilty pleasure I have to say - very versatile. Poles I know love it actually - goes very well with hard boiled eggs amongst many other things.

Life / Do Polish people have a good ear for music? [90]

Maybe. I meant Bjork more in the sense that it goes all over the place and has the irreverent attitude, with the pixie-aggressive delivery. But it had more guitar too if I remember correctly. And generally a bit darker like you say.

So no, maybe not actually like Bjork at all really then : )

Anyway, I thought it was good. And the others I heard too but I've no idea what they were called and wouldn't know even if you said.

Probably, I don't really know. Just heard a few albums and thought they were good. One was puk puk and it's 15 years old so I suppose maybe yeah, her older work.

Good tea doesn't come in bags. Have you tried tea shops?

It was Wroclaw Boy that was on about bags. It's in random now.

You did come here though - hammering Polish food, that was why you came here i remember,

Well you remember wrongly then.

and you just kind of hung around since.

LOL

What the hell is your problem??

The point being you cant claim Irish potatoes are the best

Well I don't - that's why "WTF" but, OK.

he cant claim Marks n Spencers tea is the best.

But why not? Maybe he's tried 28 other brands and he thinks they're all sh1te?

Maybe it's time for you to reveal your great tea bags then? I'm not being smart arsey here BTW.

Alright, you sound pissed or something, forget it.

Is he wrong? Any "tea" I've had in Poland has been vile. As in stuff that purports to be made from leaves from China, India or wherever.

Sure, there is raspberry tea and whatever but it isn't tea, really. It's flavoured hot water basically. Nothing much wrong with it but it's not the same thing is it?

Maybe that's not what you mean though...

Until youve had IRISH potatoes you havent had potatoes.. are you wrong?

WTF are you talking about?

History / Whom do the people in Poland hate more: Germans or Russians? [869]

Russians by the way, as far as I can see, from the Poles I know.

The Germans may have been bastards but at least you knew where you stood with them and there was a logic, even if twisted - Russians on the other hand are little better than animals.

...seems to be the gist.

TBH you could come from any number of places - England, France, Netherlands, Greece...

I wouldn't exclude Poland, but I wouldn't get too excited either.

Food / Polish polskie pierogi recipe (prepared at home) [72]

i just cant bring myself to try it.it seems completely weird to put cream and sugar onto a savoury dish.

Nothing personal and no offence intended but as far as I can see, a LOT of people in states think a LOT of food is wierd and are generally unadventurous : )

I admit it sounds odd to me too - but just try it.

Same goes for kaszanka : )

Edit crossed with Shawn - great minds eh?
