I've used both methods of cooking frozen pierogi. but I recommend boiling in water...last time, I used the frying method...damn that hot oil, it really burns...

I'm an Irish-Polish mix. grandma came from Poland, moved to Chicago and met grandpa, who came from Ireland. myself and my family have a taste for both Polish and Irish cuisine. we were given American names to "fit in", but still appreciate our Polishness and Irishness.

I have only a basic understanding of Polish, but am working on learning the whole language.

as great as this idea sounds, I don't see it working out, particularly with Serbia involved. they can't even work it out with their own city of Kosovo, so how the hell will they exist in a Slavic union??

I'm part Polish and part Irish..skin that tans easily, very few freckles. my eyes are green-brown, hair is dark brown. but, everyone else in my family has lighter eyes and lighter hair. guess it was my dad's genes that made me darker...

I was told the same thing, but I still think it useful. I particularly like IRA's "Parę Chwil"--it's easy, though the pronunciation may not be entirely correct to spoken Polish...

looks like I have a lot to look through today, which is great! I think the other sites may be much easier for me to understand then the one I've been using so far..I've also been learning some via singing (listening to a song many times then looking at the words and singing with it).

I've heard that Kraków has the most English-speakers...is that true? I was thinking of eventually moving there and learning more of the Polish language then maybe moving to Warsaw?
