Off-Topic / How do Russians truly feel about their great leader? [77]

Do you have any names? Or just some sh*t to throw to the fan?

Boris Nemtsov rings a bell? Alexander V. Litvinenko? Anna Politkovskaya?

List of journalists killed in Russia

....The dangers to journalists in Russia have been well known since the early 1990s but concern over the number of unsolved killings soared after Anna Politkovskaya's murder in Moscow on 7 October 2006. While international monitors mentioned a dozen deaths, some sources within Russia talked of over two hundred fatalities.[1] ...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_journalists_killed_in_Russia#Under_Putin_(since_2012)

According to the updated list, there are currently 362 political prisoners in Russia, of whom 297 were persecuted for their religious views and 65 for their political activities.

Merkel destroyed her party, the CDU, but she herself still stays on top...believe it or not!

If she herself wouldn't put an end to it she would have good chances to be re-elected....that would be then more than 20 years....that's just not right...that is not good for any country!

To bad Putin can't see that....

The fact remains that the majority of Russians approve of Putin

Merkel too leads still all approval ratings....I'm still thinking she was on top for to long, and that it's better for the country that she leaves!

You are really totally humourless....you could be a German! :)

Thing is the government doesn't decide about the humour of it's opposition....in democratic countries that is!

And incitement of hatred would be if said Youtuber would openly call for the murder of Putin...there is a difference!

Incitement of HATRED! Think about these words again! I think Putin incites hate of his person all by himself quite well...

Even the Russians seem to take it not that seriously:

....A court in the Russian city of Samara has found civil rights activist Karim Yamadayev guilty but said he should be released after spending more than a year in detention for mocking President Vladimir Putin and two of his close associates online....

"Only" a year...lucky guy...aren't he...

a-hole

Countenance!

That palace is probably embarassing even for Putin. He must have seen how people ask to many questions about that...as it is just not befitting of a serious politician!

So the legend was born:

....Russian businessman Arkady Rotenberg has said that he owns the building, which will be used as a hotel.[5][6] Rotenberg has close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and it has been alleged that the palace was built for the president's personal use.....

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Putin%27s_Palace

Putin has wealthy jewish friends it seems...

...Arkady Romanovich Rotenberg (Russian: Аркадий Романович Ротенберг; born 15 December 1951) is a Russian billionaire businessman. With his brother Boris Rotenberg, he was co-owner of the Stroygazmontazh (S.G.M. group), the largest construction company for gas pipelines and electrical power supply lines in Russia.

He was listed by Forbes in 621st place among the world's wealthiest persons in 2014.[2] He is a close confidant, business partner, and childhood friend of president Vladimir Putin.[3][4] ...

Is that it?

Imagine to fear for your life for mocking Biden and/or Pelosi and/or Harris or whomever...not knowing if someone will come knocking in the night, sentence you for years away from your family...just like that, because they can.

Would you still like to live in the US? Or would you start to think about what you say, start to look over your shoulder, not talking freely anymore about politics, head down like to good, obedient, little servant you are?

I can be sure Merkel is gone im September!

I can mock her without getting poisoned or put into a siberian Gulag?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_Russia#Overview_of_issues

The police here gets a stink eye the moment they look at a culprit the wrong way....no comparison to torture and deaths in russian jails!

That journalists get murdered is also extremely rare here...

The only ones gays an lesbians need to be cautious of are our muslim immigrants...

The only political prisoner of note I think is one Herr Fischer who is in jail because he doesn't want to pay the GEZ Gebühr, a broadcasting fee for the public service broadcasting authorities...

We do not need your approval, by the way. ;)

Not MY approval! :)

The approval of the russian people!

I myself can look on happily with popcorn, now safe and sound with all the perks of living in a wealthy, democratic country with guaranteed civic rights.

But I remember the past and I am grateful that this is over...and I feel with all the Belorussians and Russians who still have such a long way to go....

The best proof for the acceptance of his rulership would be a free election, sorry to repeat that! :)

But everything looks like as if Putin doesn't really like this idea...or else he wouldn't do what he does...*shrugs*

You have to pay just to few experienced demagogues

In the GDR the opposition who wanted more democratic rights had been treated the same way....insulted, called names...traitors...enemies of the people...bought by the West....they were jailed, even forced to leave their homes..

But in the end it didn't help them....the GDR is history, as is the Sovietunion....

We don't feel

Excuse me, if ALL millions of Russians would think like you do, Russia wouldn't suffer a brain drain...and Putin wouldn't see a need to terrorize any opposition.

Why do you have to blame it all on an old Jew? Does it make you feel better? Is it unfathomable to you that Russians might have different opinions? That they can think for themselves? That they just wish for more options for an election?

Why do you think they are "brainwashed" or "bought" by a Jew? Soros is still stinky rich, he wouldn't have all that money anymore if he would pay the whole opposition as accused.

And if Putin is still so popular why not standing up for free, fair and square elections? He would have nothing to fear, wouldn't he! But he does fear the opposition, doesn't he..or else he wouldn't jail and kill them!

(Frankly, that video on top shows a different Russia....do tell, are all these people there brainwashed and bought by Soros?)

And not at least, in Russia you see a similiar problem as in Germany....if a leader and his minions are to long in power corruption sets in, a swamp develops, the progress of the country is being slowed down to a halt because of lack of new "brooms"...

hat set a new threshold that made Crimea a walk in the park on a sunny day. Love it!

You need a politician that comparable to Otto von Bismarck

Preach to the choir here! :)

it may suddenly turns out that you really CAN stop anglo-saxon occupation

Thing is, not many Germans complain about that....this "occupation" brought on the best years in the history of Germany (sans Prussia during its height and the Hanse maybe)

Remembering them will.

They should never be forgotten! Not what led to them nor the destruction they brought, to avoid a repetition of these events.

It just seems that Russia has learned different lessons than the rest of Europe...

if you morons tried another such stunt today, it would last 30 minutes. Feels good to know...

That's nice that you feel good! You still come over as a grump.... :)

But there is no danger that one of us will try such a stunt, invading and occupying foreign lands is a sure sign of dictators....always has been!
