Interesting....english ex-player Gary Neville says the ref penalty decision was WRONG.....that was never penalty worthy!!!!

Neville then said on English television ITV: "As a defender, it is an absolute disgrace (the penalty decision; editor's note). A scandalous decision. That such a penalty is awarded against me, no matter when, and certainly not in such an important game. Of course he goes in and tries to block the shot. That is never a penalty."He is not alone in this opinion. His former England colleague Jamie Carragher (46) also spoke out against the decision. Immediately after the decision, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "That was never a penalty." He also posted two laughing emoticons.
Interesting: Zwayer originally would not have given the penalty at all, and did not initially decide that it was a foul. Only after the VAR intervened and he looked at the video images himself did Zwayer point to the spot.---------
Zwayer shouldn't ref such important games anymore....I wonder who will be the ref for the sunday finale?
There had already been a lot of discussion about Zwayer before the match - because of his history with Jude Bellingham. The former BVB star had indirectly accused the referee of bribery three years ago after a 2:3 home defeat in the Bundesliga against Bayern. Bellingham was then forced to pay a fine of 40,000 euros. This decision should now make the "Three Lions" very happy.
