Travel / The definitive list of things to do and see in Warsaw. [11]

Great and thanks once again, I really fancy that Pawilony quarter, although I'm struggling to find any details on the complex at Fort Mokotow. Feel free to post some links?

I've relegated the pirate ship...

Thanks Harry. I like the look of the Red Hog Inn, and I think I've been to Mielzynski (a while back) before heading onto Balsam -

balsam.net.pl/en

I've been to the Pirate Ship as well, and added it because of the novelty beer towers. Do they still do these?

Feel free to let me know if I've got the wrong places in the links.

Hello you lovely Polish people.

I'm visiting Warsaw for 3 nights in October and I'd love your suggestions on things to do during the day, places to eat, places to taste wine, places to listen to live music and places to party during the evenings.

Maybe we can form a list? ie.

1) The Pirate Ship - Gniazdo Piratów - gniazdopiratow.com.pl
2) Live Music in the park - Pub Lolek - publolek.pl
3) Rowing the boat at Wilanów.

Feel free to copy the list and add your suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Chris.

History / The Celts in Poland. [71]

The Welsh have a soft spot for both the Irish and the Geordies. I think we should make the Geordies honorary Celts. Rumour has it that when the English decided to try and eradicate the Welsh language they sent a bunch of Geordies to teach us English. This basically means that the Geordie lads got on the lash with the Welsh boys and a good time was had by all. Unfortunately nobody quite knows if the Welsh speak pissed Geordie or the Geordies now speak pissed Welsh.

Love / Polish Pet Names For Girls. [156]

It's actually "honey" which is made by bees and tastes very sweet. A kind of delicacy before mass production which seems more appropriate to me than "little frog or worm" I think :-))
