Love / Polish girls fall for Indian guys ? [217]

i have no grievance with indians, but your question was "using whatever loopholes or schemes".

loopholes or schemes are not inherently illegal and it still proves what darren was saying about indians leaving india in their droves by whatever means necessary.

Australia / Polish restaurants, clubs, in Melbourne [17]

yes , that is a quality restaurant (good food and drinks mostly polish)

after the tears is the sister restaurant of b,v&t.

you're best going to rowville, sunshine or dandenong to a polish club.

would that be because of the same owners?
after the tears!! absolutely no! to recommendations!!

yep same owners, after the tears is only 1-2 years old.

i wasnt too fussed on b,v&t when i went.

may have to try and swindle some frozen pierogi at the polish festival in 2-3 weeks.

yeah, vic market is dodgy now, 3-4 years ago you could get pierogi/bigos/etc that was sourced from the albion club. now they sell russian pre packaged pierogi. awful.

location of polish deli: polka.net.au/locations.html

Buy Polish products at Polish Deli, shop 5-6, Dairy Hall, Queen Victoria Market (9348 9211); Uncle's Smallgoods, Dandenong (9793 0135); Mitko Deli, Sunshine (9311 8490); Polka Deli, Glenroy (9304 4700).

theage.com.au/entertainment/restaurants-and-bars/easter-feaster-20100322-qr0d.html

just type "polish deli (location)" in wujek google, should be no polish.

Work / part-time job in Poland needs work permit? [40]

Another thing is that it is your future employer's obligation, not yours, to take care of the work permit for non-EU citizen.

why would an employer waste their time going through this red tape if they could employ a candidate with the work permit or a local?

Australia / Your new PM, A question for Aussies, and anyone living there. [20]

so I was close with the kath and kim thing then ;) I thought it might have something to do with the welsh parents....

watching an immigration doco last night and she migrated here when she was 4 from wales.

you learn something every day.

i do find her annoying, much like i did the smug rudd.

By the way, we've got some of Melbourne's sh1tty windy weather... A 6-day heat wave broken by a Southerly Buster.

wasnt it related to yasi...the experts in the trade reckon the downpour here was due to yasi.

What's it like down your end...? Dry?

dry where i live, not so in other areas.

but i was out drinking last friday after work and went inside when it started raining and came out and the road was under water. bizarre scenes.

Australia / Places to live in Melbourne... [36]

can no longer view pf at work, and my memory aint the best to remember to log on.

what are you looking for?

renting by yourself or with others?

how far out do you want to live?

you prefer a more snobby scene (south) or an alt scene (norf)?

im no big fan of south side and if i was giving advice id suggest innercity places like richmond, carlton, fitzroy.

if you prefer city locale then maybe south melbourne or east melbourne.

all these options are going to be very $$$$ though but you dont want to be too far out.

im guessing you're either studying at rmit/la trobe?

is that where you are commuting?

fitzroy is far from multicultural or leafy and green but is diverse and arty and well serviced by pt.

also a good place to use as a base. plus only 15-20 min walk into the city.

you obviously been on gumtree to check prices and the like?

And I want to get on these funny things...

Honk Honk!

they look like this now (sorry, cant be arsed copying to my hard drive and then uploading pic):

Polish tram

No, alas, work based training in glorious Broadmeadows... :S

broady, thats hilarious.

well, there is your multicultural experience.

you'd need a car to get there.

Ok, well I guess as long as it's not *too* hectic. I do like the sound of central though... :)

busy on weekends but mid week should be quiet.

I was afraid that might happen... *sigh*, modernity... And for what? And extra 2 miles an hour?? :S (As long as they still rattle!)

hahaha, there are even newer ones.

if ya want ole skool then there is a city circle tram that is free.

or live it up: tramrestaurant.com.au/en/

my middle name is lazy.

Nooo! There must be public transport...? Trains?? *Gulp!* Hitch hike?? (Hitch a hitchings???) ;)

i take that back, there is a train line that runs up there but obviously no idea how close to where you're going.

and just remember no one travels to broady, everyone is travelling out of there.

No kidding! And I was heading to Melbourne for its quaint history of old curiosities... ;)

you should be, she has ole skool charm does this girl.

Speaking of picking up the slack and curiosities... remember this golden jewel of Australian prime time television?

i do remember that show. you must be of my vintage to remember it.

nearly as good as simon townsends wonderworld.

how ya go ashley?

Any suggestions? Flemington??

Any idea how long that trip would take? From the centre to Broady?

is that a sydney-ism?

here is the timetable (20-30 min depending where you lay your head):
tt.metlinkmelbourne.com.au/tt/XSLT_TTB_REQUEST?command=direct&language=en&outputFormat=0&net=vic&line=02CRB_&project=ttb&itdLPxx_selLineDir=R&itdLPxx_selWDType=T0&sup=%20&count=1

if you want inner city living then Flemington, Kensington, norf melb are your best bets on that line.

Hey, Sob. I appreciate your inside help.

I get there next week and have another 3 weeks to check things out. Should be able to locate a great place in that time...

nae bother.

glad i could kind of help, just lucky that you decided on the norf.

ive no idea about the south side of the yarra.

No I think the centre is something I picked up in England... just like ''going into town'' is..

yeah, it did sound more uk oriented.

Now I need to ask the most important of all questions... Which football team to cheer on this season?? Essendon?

Up the SWANS!! :))

nah, not the bummers.

i support geelong and thoroughly recommend impartial supporters to take them under the wing.
