First off, this is no disrespect to Australia, this "pom" has plenty of ties to Oz for that to be slandering huge chunks of my family...

But....
Your new PM,really, that voice,OMG,is it just to untrained ears or is that voice as anoyingly whingy and whiney to you guys aswell? Every time I see the woman I think" God,Jodie Fosters let herself go" but when I hear her all I can think of is the grotesques in Kath and Kim..."Look at me,look at me.." :) But thats not too funny when its in the middle of the news reports about the terrible floods.

her voice is an acquired taste...thats what happens when you grow up in the blue collar suburbs of melbourne.

No it's not you heartless bastard...;P I guess it's better than her being attractive because then you'd be ogling... ;)

Either way you'd be scrutinizing.... She is after all a woman and *must* be put in the ugly or shaggable category... ;)

Could she not just be defined as a politician?

Yea true but women think the same way when they see a man.

I wouldn't say women characterise men on the basis of sex in *quite* so many realms... therein lies the problem. We are a little *too* sexualised (for our own good.)

There is a lot more to dislike about Gillard than her voice but like her voice it is to do with her origins. She is a trade union organizer and as such is anti business and as far as climate change goes she will bleat about impracticalities like solar but never tackle the unions over restricting the coal industry or question coal fired power stations and re-examine nuclear power in light of reducing greenhouse gases. Besides she came to power in one of those back room coups in which she smiled at her predecessor right up to the minute she stuck the knife in.

There is a lot to dislike about her and the voice is a long way from the worst.

I know I do. Many tend to mystify men.

If a PM for example, a man, is good looking he will have all the women's attention even if he's incompetent and really should not have that job. Have you ever seen women eagerly anticipating what some fat bald elderly politician has to say? ;)

Yes her voice isn't the greatest is it. But as far as Labor politicians go, she is their most competent by a county mile.

The only example I can think of of a politician with debonnaire, is Sarkozy, and he is French.... That says everything about lust and politics in that country...

But men get ass because of power not irrespective of it. Look at that Italian clown - Berlusconi...

fek off taking yourself so seriously....christ,I compared her to jodie foster not exactly a pig eh?
Where did I mention that I define her political qualities by her gender or looks? Again, get over yourself,it was a comment on the womans voice,no more.

Why has this come out of off topic anyway,it has nowt to do with Poland? And I put it precisely in off topic for that reason + plus it being a sensitive time for many people in Oz,so whys it been moved here?

And if anyone got a thing to say about floods, tell someone who hasnt been homeless for three years because of one and is still waiting to move back to my house.

Ohhh, you wanna talk about the floods? Funny way to go about it.

I'm not taking it seriously, it's called a critique. I couldn't care less what you think.

Hey,our last few PMs have been awfull...but,what is it with Aussie PMs being second rate look alikes of hollywood stars of the 70s? The present being, like I say,Jodie foster, and the last one had more than a passing resemblance to John (angelina Jolies dad) Voight :),you know the ones, corperate event style lookilikees rather than absolute doubles..O)

-Not only, it'd seem that 'lifts' have left her without facial expression and a dysfunctional mouth..
Reminiscent of Barry Manilow although he's far prettier.
