last year, when i met her first time, i paid for the dinner and then she disappeared.

She probably didn't like you. You've paid for her dinner? Wow. I'm properly impressed now!I'm sorry, but isn't that what a gentleman is supposed to do on a first date? You should feel flattered she decided to go out with you anyway. That's just my silly opinion though, you shouldn't listen to anything I say..

You can get yourself a bit of a tan in the shadows aswell you know, that way, the chances you'll burn are minimal. No beaches for you young lady. Hey, and you can do so many other things outside during the Summer?

Love / What do Polish guys think of Irish girls? [187]

Some of them said that they think we are Ugly and loud, another said they think thier hot and another said they don't really care, Im more likely to go with the third one but I was thinking about and I got curious?

I've met a few Irish girls before, and I liked their humour, I liked their accent even more, I liked their feel for music and I liked their..

*sigh*

I believe her name was Vanula. (I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right though!) I don't even know where she was from, but she sure did leave an impression.

I'm like Nicole Kidman.

Well, she's a hottie..

I kind of wish I had fair skin that tans easily though.

Well, I happen have fair skin which tans easily, and I also look a little more tanned during the winters than most fellows do around here. (Maybe this has something to do with the bit of French in me?) Anyway, what I wanted to say.. My skin tans very easily, but I keep more summerspots every year. People with a lighter skin don't seem to have that problem, because they usually avoid sunbathing, or atleast they're more careful. I don't really sunbathe that much myself, I'm just not too worried about using sunblock during the Summers. So I guess fair skin which tans easily isn't everything either..

;)

Maybe the grass is always greener on the other side?

Feedback / Retaining the same user name from inception [11]

I have had a few identities on this forum,

Do you mean you were pretending to be someone you're not? I've stopped doing that a long time ago! At first it was curiousity, then it became a second nature, and eventually I took it too far. So I guess that's my useless advice to everyone on the internet; Just be yourself and don't be ashamed.

never been abusive or vulgar, well maybe only once!

So you've never cussed behind your screen? Have you atleast *thought* somebody was being an a-hole once or twice?

;)

There are some real genuine people on this forum, and some really interesting conversations, a bit like a family really.

That's nice.

I know it is only a forum but of course it is real as people have real feelings.

I think some people aren't really aware of that sometimes, but I guess we all have to learn the hard way..

UK, Ireland / Which country is more corrupt - Poland or the UK? [35]

Perhaps question should be: 'Whose government is more corrupt: UK or Poland?'

You can find people who are corrupt in every country, and more or less doesn't matter really.. Once they've established themselves, it's hard to get them out.

But the figures involved in Britain are much, much bigger.

It doesn't really matter how much money is involved, because some countries are wealthier than other countries. I guess I mean to say that if *that* kind of money circulated in Poland, you'd see that greed basically works the same everywhere.

More or less corrupt? I'm afraid there's no such thing, because people tend to behave pretty much the same all around the globe. I don't mean to say everyone is corrupt though, because in reality, it's only a small minority of people who are. (Which ofcourse doesn't make those people less of a problem, but still!)

Some might fancy a change?

Ofcourse, but..

It shows a great committment to the site and also genuine belief in what they have posted

..this is probably why I've said what I've said. (I didn't mean to say that people who change names often are scared or whatever!)

Some may have left and come back and forgotten their log in

Hey, it happens to the best of us?

Just because the guy has a tint of olive skin he's Turkish, Greek, or even Roma (whom are very dark)?

No, it's nothing like that. The guy mentioned that many people think he has something mediterranean in him, and well, I've known a few half-greeks from England who do look a little like him. Roma aren't always very dark though. I have a Roma friend in Holland, and if I didn't know any better I'd call him Greek or Latino.

I am Greek and I have pale skin just as I have met many Turks with pal skin as well.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of a tan you know..

I have to say I am very impressed by posters on this forum who have retained the same user name throughout.

Why? You wouldn't do it?

It seems I'm always getting myself in trouble for things I post on the internet, but I guess some people never learn? All I want to show people is that we all make mistakes, and that sometimes it shouldn't even be taken seriously. I don't want to be a role-model to anyone, and I certainly don't want to be perfect. It's easy to point the finger for some people, but I know for a fact that most of the people who do point the finger, are doing the very same things behind closed doors.

I admire you all for that.

It's okay to be human, so I'm trying really hard not be admired sometimes.

Life / Mixed race girl in Poland, good idea? [149]

I have no guilt nor responsibility for anything someone in the past did.

Unfortunately slave labour still exists, and most people in most countries aren't doing anything about this. Quite the contrary actually, most people even profit or benefit from this injustice.

It's also our responsibility though, because we can choose not to buy the cheapest clothes made by children, and we can choose not to outsource to countries where people are basically exploited, and in most cases forced to work for little or nothing. We can choose to pay people in Africa a fair price for their resources.

I find it humorous that you imagine anyone could. Guilt is a reaction to having done something wrong.

Well, even if it's not you who's doing it, you are just as much a part of the bigger scheme as I am, and I'm just going to say that most of us simply don't care enough, and basically allow these things to happen. So in a sense we're all guilty.

I didn't do any of those things. I live my life well and give to others when I can. I do not own slaves and do not waste in life.

Like I've said previously, we may not own slaves, but we allow companies to use people as slaves. So in a way we do have slaves who perform certain tasks for us. Think about that for a second.

Life / I'm from Polish descent. CAN YOU GUYS EXPLAIN THE EU TO ME? [115]

EU benefits mainly Germany and Benelux countries. They have ready markets for their products.

I'm sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong. Financially, we're going through some heavy weather at the moment, because we contribute too much. (Per capita.) Holland could easily fix these problems for itself, if only all the rich people here were going to show some solidarity. So far, they're not. If the more social parties aren't going to be a majority in our next government, most of us are going to have even more costs after the election. Today, we're going to vote locally, so this might give us an indication as to how the next elections will look like. (I'll keep my fingers crossed for some solidarity!)

I'm not at all opposed to the idea of a united Europe, but I don't like the idea of having to change our laws, (Because we tolerate a lot when it comes to softdrugs, which really solved a lot of crime-related issues for us.) and I seriously dislike the unfair competition that's going on between working people. I guess I'm hoping for equality and more solidarity, but the way things are going..

Love / How is the ideal girlfriend for a Polish guy? [15]

I'd say for any man, be who you are. There is nothing to love, if you change like a chameleon for each guy you are interested in. Let him see what makes you a unique person. If he's not interested, then he's not for you, and you're not for him.

I'm just going to nod in agreement.

Love / They seem nice, but could Polish girls be "gold diggers"? [196]

You promote women gossip?

No, but it's not like I can do anything about it.

Do we men have any similar kind of information?

Hey, believe it or not, but some of us do..

yes, a little :-)

Yeah, but that's because.. (It's probably in my best interest to shut up now?)

Love / They seem nice, but could Polish girls be "gold diggers"? [196]

then again, why would you discuss it if you do? I mean if it's all known to you. lol

I'm not saying it's all known to me, but ofcourse I understand why women tend to choose the more succesful ones.

I guess you totally misunderstood me.

Fair enough.

all that counts at this moment is what you see (if someone is saying something else, I don't believe it) and this is when you start making your choices.

Well, over here girls usually talk to eachother about a guy they might be curious about, and that's how they find out if a guy is doing well for himself or not, or if he fits in their community or not. (Not all the girls care about such things though!)

;)
