Hi its Valentines Day in a month and my Polish goodlooking guy and I have been together for 8 months now. we are planning a romantic weekend getaway.

we plan to be together and I told him that I want to be with him and in the future, right now I am in college. now he doesnt like jewlery and he is picky on presents.I was thinking of getting him a promise bracelet or something to signify our relationship to make it more solid.what do Polish guys like for presents and something to signify promise.

thanks.

:) :) :) :)

I saw another thread on here that says not to spend a massive amount, as alot of people said that it could be considered expensive. As long as he can afford to spend the same then I guess its ok to spend a bit more, but im not too sure.

I'm actually in the same situation as you, also with a polish guy. Men in general are just difficult to buy for.

in general? if there are 3 billion men, you can buy any man from 2 billion who are suitable for your budget. but, you are trying to buy a cadillac with your ten tousands of euro.

Not really. Gadgets work for us - the more complicated and fundamentally useless the better

Get him something from the heart, something personal that would mean a lot to him. Maybe a picture of both of you together, a personalized gift with both your names on it. If he wears jewelry get him that bracelet. Or put together a photo album with your pictures of memories you shared. What would he like? You know him the best and you know what his interests are and what would make him happy.

LaGirl, i suggest a red rose. if you buy him jewellery, bracelets, or the likes, he can sell them to make inital capital and can grow sooner or later, then you know what happens after then. rose will fade sooner or later anyway.

British (and not so proud)

Hey, i think you're probably overestimating the amount of money I have ;) haha.
anyway, I guess women are just as awkward to buy for from a male perspective, just commenting from a girls P.O.V.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the two of you. I had created a thread sometime ago, regarding a woman making a marriage proposal to a man.

Yes, but to make it more fun...give it a twist...buy some nice lingerie and make him wear it...and then you tear it off of him, lol

It might just be me but i don't want anything for valentines day from my gf.

I'm too busy wanting her to be happy and trying to do something original for her to worry about receiving something.

I agree with this in a sense. Valentines has totally lost all real meaning, it has been over commercialised and the only value in it is literally monetary value. In most cases, it appears that the gift is just given becasue the person feels that this is normal. And I guess, spekaing from a female perspective, that this is mostly true of women, and not so much men, as you have just proved.

You at least have kept the true meaning of valentines day :)
I don't think Im going to get my BF much, and I doubt he will get me much, if anything, either. And thats fine.

You sshouldnt have to show how much you care by fretting over what to buy/how much to spend/ whether it will be appreciated...just be together.

BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT...
It can be a sweet gesture to get someone a sweet, little gift.
Just don't fret too much about it LAGirl, im sure he'l love the fact that you are together, and that you care about him enough to worry about getting him a gift :)

Good luck!

Yeah, and we have been very well kept informed of all the ups and downs you had with this loser.

Get him a bunch of condoms, some lubricant and make him happy. What the heck do I care about it.

He'll love u for life

Or... he will leave her, for her sister :D

Valentines has totally lost all real meaning,

Pray tell what was the "real" meaning? Its always been about sending cards and tolken gifts to a loved one...it just became more commercialised....The meaning is still exactly the same as it always has been.

Since the number of documented post we've seen from LAGirl concerning her struggle with her Polish loser, I would suggest we write a manual for her, since it's obvious that she doesn't have a clue on how to deal with this very exceptional and extraordinary type of guys. Quite an accomplishment, given the fact that she has been with him for 8 months and we've been witness from the very first start and get regular updates on how the relationship is moving ahead. But this takes the cake: if you're with somebody for 8 months and you don't even know by then what to give that person for Valentine's? Ghee. You probably never get to know him. He's just a guy like any other guy. And what do guys like? Go figure.
