Hi,My name is Tessa Pilipczuk and i have been researching my polish family tree for a long time now.My grandfather was called LEON PILIPCZUK born in 1923(roughly).He had a brother called SERGIUSZ(or spelt Sergij) PILIPCZUK born 23-06-1913,Their mother was called ZOFIA MANKOWSKA,she married MAKSYM PILIPCZUK in 1910(approx).ZOFIA was born in Rakolupy,Chelm.Maksym was born in OSTROW.

I think ZOFIA's mother was called JULIA MOLCZAN and ZOFIA's father was called TEODOR MANKOWSKI.MAKSYM PILIPCZUK's mother was called MAGDALENA DEMUSIAK and MAKSYM's father was called JAN PILIPCZUK. Genealogy / Monte Cassino + Russian labour camp [23]

Hi,Can anyone help me find any documents about my grandfather.I have recently found out he was in a russian labour camp?How can i find out WHY+what labour camp?He was there untill 1942,he then went to iran,14/8/1942.Then went to monte cassino,Italy,untill 1946. Is it possible to find any information about my grandfather-Leon Pilipczuk and his brother Sergiusz(or spelt sergij) pilipczuk. Where would there mother have gone when they went to russia and Iran then Italy? Any addresses to find things out....please help me,Tessa xx

Im trying to find out if my grandfathers father was born in "poland" or belarus or Russia!!!! does anyone no if Lublin-chelm was part of occupied by Poland in 1883?
