Love / Maintenance for child born between Irish/Polish parents. [60]

I read on a forum some kind of similar story. Basically the story went like this:-
Irish lad dating polish girl for 6 months, she got pregnant, had the baby and returned to poland without him know she returned for good, then suddenly when the baby was born he had the solicitors in Poland on him demanding 300 per month maintenence.

Basically you can get maintenance off him but you need to get a solicitor who knows polish law, you can google some polish solicitors on good 'notariusz w irlandii' or something like that.

Hope that helps.

Love / Irish woman dating a Polish man - need advice about my polish boyfriend and marriage [24]

Im Irish and got married to my Polish wife in September but we have been dating for 5 years and I just proposed last May. Its the same all around the world, you have to date in my opinion for a minimum of 1.5 years before any serious commitment can be made.

You need to live with him to see his habits, see if he is a drinker or has some hidden agenda, dont rush into it luvy

Love / I was raised in Poland. My Family hates my wife because she's American ... [69]

Hi I am Irish and my wife is Polish, I think its common for wife and the mother to be enemies because they both think they know whats best. I think for your mother she maybe agressive towards your wife because your wife took you away from the mother maybe? Could be sense of jealousy there in some way.

My mother and my wife dont see eye to eye on alot of things and just tolerate each other. Also both of our parents are not 100% happy we were together to start with as I think both parents, being old fashions wanted us to marry into our own nationalities.

The fact is each person owns their own life, you should sit down and make everything clear to your mother that you love your wife very much, that you trust her and that nothing your mother will say can change who you spend your life with.

Its just typical protective mother in my opinion,,,, maybe a little too protective, but still :)

Best of Luck

Life / Driving test, English speaking driving school in Warsaw? [95]

Its expensive but at the end of the day, if you work hard it will pay off and you pass your test. The good thing about polish schools is that you do the theory and the driving test almost together, its really effective.

Law / Irish welcome on Polish building sites ? [47]

I heard this story from my mam a while ago, and everyone was so angry to hear this story being that all the polish over here in Ireland working, all I heard was stories, dont remember anything being on the news about it, as if it were factual you can bet it would be, it could have been something made up by irish people to stir hatred against some polish people, who knows.

Life / Gyms in Warsaw [44]

Guys, the one is Arcadia is wayyyy expensive, its like 180zl per month. You are better off going to the local smaller gyms, I know they look way dodgey and may look like thugs go there but if your looking for cheap ones, thats the best bet. I'd stay away from the big name ones due to the price. Unless you have that type of money, that is.
