How many Poles are vegetarians? [52]
Thread attached on merging:vegan?why do i even bother to ask, as i can already assume the answer hahaha but are there any vegetarians or vegans here? .... i ask because yes i don't eat the meats, and wondering how easy it is to be vegan in poland, because i'll be visiting in a month or so :)

My hope was basically that I could discuss a bit of vegan Polish cuisine with a vegan. =(
hey, so were you visiting poland? if so how'd it go? i'm going over in a month and wondering if i'll make it hehe
btw, I'm not a vegan, just a standard vegetarian (for 20 years now), eating milk/cheese/eggs. I think I couldn't survive on a vegan diet in Poland in 1987 and it stayed that way.
i'm surprised that's even possible there.
my family lives in a little town, but i'm hoping there some fruit and veggie stands, or i'll just head down to some larger towns in the area. i can live off pierogies and borscht so i could probably survive out there actually :)
ps, i'm damn excited going back home after 20 years :D
