News / Polish Immigrants Leave America for Europe [210]

Polish people should come to Canada. In my unprofessional opinion, we are a vast empty land that needs more people. Welcome :)
At least they can come without a visa for 3 months now. Just don't expect any free handouts and you'll do fine :)

Love / Polish women are the most beautiful in the world! [1718]

lol, everytime somebody with a decen photo comes online, its the same same same same thing, lol, i've been here long enough now probably like you to understand this :). It's like the new girl at school syndrome :)

I've been on this forum for only a few weeks, technically speaking. I've checked it out before but never felt like signing up until recently. Some people need attention more than others :)

The master only has the 'power' as long as the puppies are interest. Once their interests move on to the next 'master', this master is left with nothing. This is why nothing good can come from being overly proud of one's looks.

lol, i agree, however the problem is there are plenty of puppies on this forum, jesus just look at the advertisments for 'polish girls' etc etc. Even if one or two do give up i'm sure there will be another 10 waiting to replace them :).

'Advertisement' is a great word actually. Thats a good depiction of how some people represent themselves or the women.

coming from a male perspective here, i don't mind girl 'knowing' she is attractive, that is sexy, however saying it, bragging, letting it slip or whatever just says to me........ well i can't say those words on a public forum, but i think you know what i mean :)

That's why I said overly :) . Being 'attractive' is well and good, but its not something I would want to rely on. And yes, I completely get what you mean :)

Love / Polish women are the most beautiful in the world! [1718]

just thought, a problem that sometimes strikes me is, how to girls/women on this forum, depict the weird, stalkerish, puppy sort a guys from the normal ones.

The whole 'Polish Personals' section weirds me out! The world is full of people, why seek them out online? But then, you always hear these stories how people met, fell in love, got married, and it turns out one of them is a serial killer. I haven't been in that situation myself, but I imagine there would be signs. Some people will see what they want to see, and this is whether they met online or anywhere else.

I can only claim to be normal i guess as i cannot prove it myself and it could only be resovled by others statements. I'm just interested, for example, if i pm a girl/woman on the forum, sometimes i think, 'hm whats she going to think' and its because of some of the weird types on here that make me think that.

Although, sometimes its easy to spot a psycho on here because of their writing styles. They feel comfortable enough to be themselves because no one knows them. The flip side to that is that it can be easier to disguise your personality because you're not showing facial expressions, body language etc..

Mali, it's funny, i'm sure there is many beautiful girls, i don't feel proud or anything else and i don't think i will stay with nothing if nobody say something pleasant about me... we joke here, as you see... and what "power" are you talking about?

You're young still, and probably like all the 'attention' from the men here, which is fine, but you should definitely be careful about it. The 'power' I refer to is this idea that women feel like they're controlling the situation because the men are specifically looking at them; you control their gaze. However, once the gaze moves onto the next woman, you have lost the sense of 'power'. You can never be fully confident in yourself when you depend on the attention that men give you due to your looks.

I have nothing personal against you, panienka.

ETA:

Be proud chick. Make the most of it. Show the world! In 20 years time we'll all be old gits!

Panienka is a beautiful girl, no doubt about it. Nothing wrong with being beautiful and making the best of it. It can become a problem (especially for women) when they depend on it.

I am absolutely sick of poles claiming that brits are lazy. Have a look at the figures above and compare this with polands astronomical unemployment levels.

And I'm sure Poles are sick of you calling them lazy.

You are one narrow-minded individual, noimmigration.

I think my Polish friends are being too kind, as they tell me I speak good Polish when I know myself its rubbish. I only tend to try to speak it with friends I know well and dont speak it around Pl people I dont really know.
This can be quite funny when another Pl joins the group and starts talking in Pl thinking the Scots guy nie rozumie.

Learning a language is always difficult (unless you happen to be a small child) so be happy with any progress you make :)

Yeah, when the mood takes the fancy, I jot down random Scots.

Its an eye sore but I think I got the gist of it :)
But then, I'm Polish so I can't make fun of any other language (or dialect as the case would be)

Has anyone ever had strawberry or blueberry, or both together, in kompot form, with some kluski (noodles) as a soup? mmmm, I had a grandma from southern region of Poland who made the best strawberry soup..
i don't know if this is just regionally though?

I've never heard of that.

Still, I thought the idea was it was something you cooked and ate hot rather than sold in jars.

They're both good.
Home made is obviously better, IMO. However, the jars are more convenient.

The others are grave, accent and cedilla I believe.

accent aigu = é
there's also tréma which is the two dots on the i, e or u

Genealogy / Are all Poles blue eyed and blonde? [451]

I'm a brunette with brown eyes. My sister is strawberry blonde (orange lol) with blue eyes and my brother is a blonde, most of my cousins are blonde. My grandmother has black hair with blue eyes. We have a lot of range in my family, but people usually guess that we're Polish.

'How many Polish people are ginger?'

My sister. Also, my paternal grandfather (although he is no longer alive). My dad's facial hair grows in orange/ginger. :)

*post topic by itself*

But it sounds sooooo much like the others. I say we consolidate!

financial and economic statistics dont lie, nor does the testimony of people whos lives are being ruined by hordes of immigrants

and what about the lifes the british have ruined over the years????

I say we hold noimmigration personally accountable for all of it.

noimmigration:

i like to bum men in front of my dad while he video tapes it and my mum jerks off to home and away

noimmigration you naughty boy!

Genealogy / Do Polish people have big noses? [451]

@southern
Yes, noses are a very complicated issue....

I think most Euro nations are known for having big noses (ie French, Italian etc.).

A few of my dad's friends have huge noses, but I don't know too many Polish people with really big noses.
*I have a small nose* :)

Britian

LOL! Bri-shen...

Judging by ur English pal, maybe that's why u r on half ur wage. Be thankful the other half wasn't swiped too.

what really ****s me off you can't be bothered to speak english half off the time

Apparently, you can't be bothered to write in English.

you eastern european

A new meaning to the 'solidarity' movement?

are yourself this question how would you like to take over your country

I am myself, but I'm not planning on taking over any country.

ETA: No way this guy is actually English. He has to be some kind of new immigrant from somewhere other than E.Europe because his spelling and grammar is too awful for him to actually be English. I refuse to believe that the education system would let someone like him pass.

you would be surprised just how badly some other British people spell in English...

But its not even bad spelling....its just plain BAD. He doesn't seem familiar with the language at all. But then, there are lots of stupid people all over the place.
