Life / Womans day in Poland? [242]

Me and my girlfriend work together at a train station.. A regular passenger today gave a red rose to her and said she was beautiful and deserves the best life can give her. He then went on his way to catch his train.

This happened in front of me and afterwards she told me about 'Womans Day'..

I felt like a fool..

We laughed..

I wasn't aware of such a day..

I Agreed to do the washing up and cook dinner for a week instead of sharing the housework.

I feel like an idiot.

Sex is the best medicine for any situation such as this..

lighting up first thing in the morning the spliff you left in the ashtray the night before

Oh man, i did alot worse things than that....

Like others have said, its different for everyone, for me i think now im 'out of the woods' so to speak that i have realised i may have an addictive persnality and pot was a bad thing, started on it heavy from a young age, 15. Never smoked spliffs, as they werent strong enough, buckets and fountains all the way.. then came the amphetamines and pills and coke, dabbled with the smack briefly, man i should be dead, was such an idoit. Youth is a dangerous thing..

I was lucky, still had enough strength and sense to sort myself out, get back in the rat race and start achieving my goals, people who know me now just don't understand what I've been through. Makes me smile sometimes

Good to know how it feels though, enables you to be able to give realistic advice to my children if the need arises.

Only those who walk the path can then preach it...

Work / What Jobs are there in Poland for an Englishman besides teaching english? [70]

Well, this is an added complication. I dont have anything on paper that would demonstrate an ability to work as a writer for a publication. I have bucket loads of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and learn quickly.

Not enough to secure a job considering the current economic and cultural situation in Poland.

What about Norway??

Im not too fond of living in my country at the moment.

does anyone have any information on jobs i could do in Poland that doesnt include teaching?

Anyone got any stories on moving to poland and securing work

any info on technnical side of things permit etc...
