Language / Polish Swear Words [1242]

admin

I don't believe the word 'fuck" has been correctly explained to readers,

A lot of people (poles) use american/english swear words without any understanding of the word... a lot of swear words evolve over a period of time and the correct interpretation will never be understood by new users.

Law / Hiring a Polish Worker - Pros and Cons [107]

...maybe i could go to poland and see if they offer me the same facilities over there....you reckon!!!!!!!

Poland would not be able to offer an western worker nothing, no access to medical care, unemployment benefits and I'm sure most poles would say "what are you doing here?, "go back to your own country" a western worker would not survive one day in poland.

This is not an anti polish statement, the fact is that poland does not offer a level playing field as what is offered in western countries.

Law / Hiring a Polish Worker - Pros and Cons [107]

I agree, not having a go at poles, but money earned by poles is not pumped back in the local economy....don't blame the poles. they are entitled to work in GB and where they put there money is there business...

Life / Why are Poles always so miserable? Why do they never smile? [512]

Cash - not enough to live

The point is that if you are poor doesn't mean you carn't smile, people living in the poorest countries in the world smile more than the poles....remember money doesn't make you happy?

UK, Ireland / Warning to British people visiting Poland!! Don't get drunk and smash the place up! [447]

And the woman who ran the B&B we stayed in doesnt like having britsh stay there cos they get too drunk and vomit.

Lets ask Lord Bubbawoo of his experiences at mokwy.com.au,mmmmm

Its about time the poles wake up and understand that the British are just bad news when it comes to drinking alcohol and using Poland as a means of a cheap stay!

wow can you just discuss without name calling because of lack of arguments? I think you deserve short/long term ban.

mmm where can I start, ......I've been to the college of hard knocks and I would expect to hear such comments from Bubbawoo. Let him have his say and let others make a judgment.

Bubba seems to be a overnight expert on everything, yet he knows nothing apart from something that has a dollar attached to it.

Polish people are sick to death on being exploited, (the Germans, the Russians and now the Brits)
Its time Polish people stood up and say enough is enough..no more foreign ownership of polish land.

I'm not sure if it's a serious or an ironic statement of yours

I meant non poles, a Polish person is always a polish person whether he lives in Poland, USA, GB or Oz.
The people referred to are speculators who have no intention of living in Poland but buy up real estate in Poland.

dont mess with lord bubba..

I'm glad I have you on my side Patrycja, O what a feeling!

lef you live in aussie land,, what would it affect you anyway?

you have to think beyond the square Patrycja, and ask the question what if,

What if all Polish land was owned by foreigners, it would mean the country that had the most share could call it its own, the way things are going why have boarders just make every country in the UE one identity.. think about it.

I'm sure Americans would not allow foreigners having a substantial control of American land?
I don't believe this will cut with Polish people either.
In Oz most commercial companies are owned by the US, (thats why some people say that Australia is just another state of the US.)

The Polish spirit and values are not in commercialism and making a quick buck, its more to do with its Christian traditions and family living.

The people ripping Poland off now (especially in the real estate area) are no better to what the Russians and Germans did in years gone by) they have just made it legitimate.

I have no time for the Brits who come to Poland and disgrace themselves in bars and public places, they have no respect for Poland and I have no respect for them.

kinda like there aint a lot of respect going round for you lef... twat... if you want to wear the trousers make sure your a man first, biatch... erniewoopwoop bumpkin

lol mmmmm, here I was thinking I would have free (cheap) accommodation in Sopot and enjoying a nice cold beer with BubbaWoo, not to be. too bad too sad. I will have to spend the night at the local park with all the other drunks..

We can all laugh and abuse each other.. (all part of the fun) but make no mistake what I have stated in my previous post stands, the quicker Polish people understand that they are being short changed by overseas parasites who have no interest in the future of Poland but wish to feather there own nests the quicker Poland will grow to be a prosperous country.

I don't give a damn for your comments lef. Patriotism burned your brains out

Have you sobered up yet, when you grow up you may well have a different opinion.

reading the following article from the Warsaw Voice, I see a majority of Poles are beginning to welcome the changes brought on by being members of the EU (which, as stated somewhere else in this thread, is a give and take relationship with other members). Just my 2 cents....

thanks Raj for your comments and reference, I don't believe the Polish Voice reflects accurately of what the majority of polish people think. good try.

"Overseas parasites' sounds like you are just being very emotional rather than looking at the facts of the situation. Where precisely do you live ? What are your connections with Poland ?

It interesting to note that the people who attack my comments are all British, I've probably been to Poland more times than you have had hot dinners, I know that the vast majority of Polish people are just helpless in what is going on in Poland today. I get pretty upset because poles are being exploited especially when it comes to Real Estate.

I point out that I don't live in Poland and I have no intention of cashing in on the spoils, I don't need to as I've doing pretty well here.

What I dont understand, maybe Lef can clarify this for me, but how can someone who lives in Aus and will be "investing foreign money" if he decides to go back to live in the land where he was possibly born, could be any different to anyone else investing and buying property over there...hmmmm Im really confused? Maybe someone can help me out, Im having a dumn brunette day :)

I've got to go, will reply tomorrow.

I'm still open to be persuaded by debate BUT with all the supporting facts and stats !!

Thanks to all of you Brits for your responses and of course Ranj, (you know this is a discussion forum and no offense is intended in my posts) can I firstly ask our overnight property guru who has only been to Sopot and the Blighty, mind you he knows everything about Poland, lol. He might just start with washing his mouth with a bucket of soapy water and learn to show respect for the Polish people.

I feel I am wasting my time in giving forum readers the good oil about the future of real estate in Poland, to me its like talking to a group of kindergarten children, I Would however ask people interested in the future of Poland to,

a) Read the History and struggles of the Polish people.
b) Speak to the average Polish person who lives in the city and country areas.
c) Read what the previous Pope wished for the Polish people.
d) Research into factors which effect real estate prices, it will come to no surprise to people who know these economic factors to appreciate that prices in polish real estate will never have a solid base when personal income is so low and secondly Poland is not a rich research country ie it has no oil, steel, or minerals, it will always be a relatively poor country which will not be able to support the old, sick, and unemployed, (like in the US/GB and Aus)

The Brits like to go to Poland for two reasons, Its very very cheap, and the Poles are nice and very non threatening.

it is not the majority of British abroad that are causing trouble

Daffy as a moderator you should hold your head in same, you have been talking so much nonsense of recent times, just open your eyes when you go to Gdansk and Sopot, the British are just thugs and low life's. Because you are British doesn't mean you have to defend your own kind.

not dissapointing,, but glad you got a chuckle out of it..

Yeah its good to have a laugh, I suppose we are all different and all have our own opinions, like I've mentioned in other treads, I may speak out of turn but I never intend to offend anyone, I have a lot of time and respect for the Polish people, I've done pretty well but unfortunately most Poles are doing it hard. I believe Poland is being used up at the moment and is losing its identity.

Australia / HELP! Australian wanted to apply for Polish Passport via ancestory [51]

You may want to refer to the SBS polish service homepage, it has a smogasload of infomation and recordings from people in the know.
The process is much harder (on the adminstrative type) as passports have to comply with EU stardards.
Check out the Polish Embassy site in Canberra.
